Ball gag - headgear by EdenFantasys - review by Azula

I'd like to start off by saying that I don't have much experience with gags in general, much less ball gags. Previously, my partners and I had used duct tape, partly because of aesthetics, and partly because it's cheap and easy to pass off if anyone finds it! When I found this gag on sale, however, I decided to give it a shot. Since I'm fairly new to gags, I can't comment too much on the materials or construction, but it seems to be well-made for the price. I'm in the process of unpacking from a move, so I don't have my tape measures handy, but the ball appears to be in the 1.75 inch diameter range. It fits comfortably in my mouth, which is apparently a little smaller than the average woman's.

The gag smelled slightly rubbery when I first got it, but it was fine after washing. It is tricky to wash, since part of it is silicone, but the rest is leathery. You'll definitely want to wash it before (and preferably after) every use, because it attracts dust and lint worse than my silicone dildos. I tried storing it in a lot of different ways, but nothing seemed to make a difference, so now I just toss it in the toolbox with everything else. I don't do anything special to clean it, honestly. I just rinse the ball with soap and warm water and try not to get the leather wet. We'll see how it holds up, I guess!

When I first tried the gag, it hurt my jaw, so I didn't wear it for very long. However, after giving it a break for a few months and coming back to it, it doesn't have that effect at all. I've worn it for some fairly extended periods of time without problems, so I think I was just having issues with my jaw when I first acquired it. The ball is relatively squishy without losing its shape. It's the perfect medium between the gags that squash completely flat and the ones that make you feel like you're about to chip a tooth.

We found that we could secure it snugly enough that it was pretty hard (but not impossible) for me to spit it out. This is how we like it, just in case of emergencies, though it's more fun to keep it in place. It's also nice to have something other than my tongue to bite down on during extended tickling or shock sessions, which was what primarily drew us to it. Thin walls and nosy neighbors are not conducive to a kinky lifestyle! Of course, I don't know that it really blocks out sound as well as the duct tape, but it's better than nothing.

Although I don't have much experience with gags and my girlfriend is completely new to kink, we found this pretty easy to figure out. The trickiest part is getting the buckle open and closed. I definitely need help with it, and sometimes even my girlfriend needs a minute to undo it. However, if you're looking for a basic ball gag that feels good and seems to hold up well, this is a good choice. I think it will please beginners and experienced players alike.
