Pipedream's Fetish Fantasy Purple Pleasure set is a wonderful way for beginners to get in to light bdsm. More advanced users will enjoy this set as well, I just think it may appeal more towards beginners because they're very comfortable and non-intimidating. The set includes a pair of ankle cuffs, a pair of wrist cuffs, a gag, and a few samples.

Cuffs:

Material: The cuffs are made from neoprene*. They are extremely comfortable and will probably not leave any marks. They are very well-made, too. All of the stitching is straight and there are no frays. They're squishy and easily bendable. When I first took them out of the box they had lots of creases in them from being folded over. The creases come out easily if you just wear the cuffs for a little while.

Size/fit: The ankle cuffs are 11" x 4" and the connecting straps (linked together) are 12". The velcro straps are 6½". These are easy to walk in since you have enough strap. The wrist cuffs are 9½" x 3½" and the connecting straps are 8" The velcro straps are 6".

With the length of the straps and the cuffs themselves, these should fit a wide variety of people. There is also an o-ring that the two cuffs link to which can be taken out if you'd like.

*Neoprene is a known allergen. It can cause redness and itching in people with sensitive skin.



Gag:

Material: The breathable ball gag is made from plastic and the strap is supposed to be made from leather. I say "supposed" to because it doesn't look, smell, or feel like real leather. The holes in the gag aren't punched out all the way. If you decide to try and pop them out they get stuck inside the gag. Mine sounds like a baby rattle because of this. I'm sure if someone tries hard enough they can fully remove them, but I don't have the patience.

Size/fit: The gag is about 3" x 1½" and the straps are 9½" (buckle side) and 13" (hole side). This gag is very uncomfortable for me. It's too wide and it causes wrinkles on my face that last for a good 30 minutes. I don't really want a gag that gives me wrinkles. The fit is also off for me. When I'm trying to buckle it, the tightest notch is too tight and the one directly after that is too loose. No matter how I try to buckle this, it always slides off if I'm not perfectly still. The straps are also starting to wrinkle from having it buckled only a few times.

I am extremely pleased with the cuffs. They are very secure and they definitely keep you restrained. It would take a lot of force to break or rip these. They're very comfortable and easy to put on. I can even put the wrist cuffs on my own wrists with no problem, so that means I can also take them off with no problem. If you're wanting something you cannot get out of, these probably won't be the cuffs for you. The ankle cuffs, however, unless I'm using my hands I cannot get out of them. I had moderately high hopes for the gag, but it just doesn't do it for me. It's ill-fitting on my head and since it's so wide sometimes part of my lip or cheek will get caught between the gag and my teeth. That hurts!

I would use wipes to clean this set. I wouldn't feel comfortable running water over the gag because the strap running through the middle would get wet.

The packaging just lets you know what's inside the box and has a girl wearing the contents on each panel. It's not great for storage because you have to bend the cuffs a certain way. It's much easier to keep these somewhere else. I hang mine from a nail on the wall.

Along with the cuffs and gag, there are also a few goodies hiding in the bottom of the box.



There's a generic eye mask that comes with just about ever Pipedream product and some samples. There's a tiny one use tube of bubble bath and a tiny tube of "stiff delay cream". The bubble bath smells like old lady, and not in the good way. I love old lady smell but this stuff is almost moth ball-y. The stiff cream smells grody and I tossed it. There's no ingredient list or directions on the tube and it looks old as dirt. My boyfriend looked at it once and said "Throw it away!"
