Y-Style nipple clamps and cock ring chain by Spartacus - review by Hotflashes & Wetdreams

Another great nipple clamp from Spartacus! I’ve been using a set of their regular tweezer clamps, which are my ongoing favorites, after trying many other styles. This set, with the tweezers on a Y chain attached to a removable, adjustable-length metal cock ring, take the fun to a whole new level.

Every part of the set is well-designed and well-made. The tweezer clamps have a slide that is easy to adjust, even with one hand, which means play can easily vary in intensity. I find this particularly important as I change positions – what is a perfect amount of pressure if I’m on my back is too strong and painful if I am sitting up, as the pressure of my breasts hanging down against the clip is so much stronger. The chain is a heavy, woven-link design, appealing both for its butch aesthetic and because its weight is part of the fun. I like metal toys because they start out so cool to the touch and quickly warm up, sometimes to a temperature that surprises me (I mean, sex is hot, but wow, that hot?) The jump rings, which attach the chain to the clamps, are very sturdy; no amount of pulling I’ve done has stretched or stressed them in anyway. This is a toy designed for serious play! The clamps have rubber tips to protect nipples from the metal’s straight edge, which does pinch and could, with enough pressure, cut. I’ve found that these tips pull off quite easily during play, so I recommend fixing this before you use them. Pull the tips off, put a small dot of superglue on each metal end, and slide the rubber tips back on. This keeps them firmly in place.

The cock ring itself is thick, solid, and finished with a very smooth seam. It attaches with snaps on leather bands; the leather is oiled and very attractive, and the snaps, again, are very sturdy, which give options for adjusting the length. At its greatest extension, attached with only one snap, it was still firmly in place. I’ve played with some toys which have left me wondering if the designer had ever tried any sex toy at all; Spartacus toys I’ve used have an attention to detail that only a fan would consider.

I use this toy with a strap-on, not biological, cock, so I can’t speak to the amount of constriction the ring provides. The toy’s package recommends that a metal cock ring should not be worn longer than 30 minutes at a time; Spartacus’ slogan is “Have fun, play safe,” so I recommend following, or at least considering, their product advice.

The toy’s leather and stainless steel materials will hold up well even to heavy use. If you need to clean the toy, wash it with soap and water, try it with a towel, then leave it hanging in the open air until the leather is completely dry. Even stainless steel can rust if stored wet. Your toys take good care of you, so return the favor!

I am probably not the toy’s intended audience, but improvisation is one of the most entertaining parts of sex play! We both have round bellies, so I could have used a little more length; if you are smaller people, you’ll have more room to move. I use a Joque SpareParts harness, which means I could have ring around the dildo under the cloth that stretches over the dildo’s base when it is in place. This both kept the ring secure, and kept the cold, hard metal ring away from direct contact with my sweetie’s vulva and clit, something we’d discovered with another harness that she doesn’t like.

Through plenty of practice with other tweezer clips, I’ve learned to apply them by holding a nipple happily between my lips while attaching the clamp with one hand, which certainly worked here. We had before each worn a set of clamps, with the chains interwoven, so we each felt every move of the other, and this is an interesting variation on that.
