The Bound by diamonds ribbon eye mask blindfold by California Exotics is a fun addition to any bedroom! It’s pretty standard as blindfolds go but any slave, pet, or submissive would look elegant with the rhinestones, patent leather, and satin ties.

The blindfold comes in a fairly standard cardboard box stating what it is with a picture. Mine was folded and a little wrinkled/creased. I would lay it out or tie it taughtly over something for a day or so before use if you’re worried about the appearance. Since it’s patent leather and satin you’re going to want to spot clean this blindfold if it needs to be cleaned. Over all the construction is decent and it seems strong and well made.

Since this is a blindfold and it’s main purpose in life is to obstruct sight, it is worth noting that it does not do a good job of completely blocking view. As is common with blindfolds, it is possible to see things if you look down where it bridges the nose. So, if you are looking for something with aesthetic appeal and not too worried about being completely blind, this is a good choice. However, if you looking for more completely sensory deprivation you’ll want to keep looking.

I do wish these came as a set or that there were some matching cuffs or satin ties. I would love more pieces made with the same materials and rhinestones. California Exotics has some different various light bondage sets but none of them match this blindfold exactly.

As far as the blindfold itself goes, I’d call it a worthwhile and satisfying buy. I’ve used it a handful of times now and I’ve been happy with it every time. I’ve found it to be great for photoshoots more than actual play. The shiny leather and rhinestones photograph beautifully. Great for both amateur and professional fetish shoots!

I am still quite happy with this mask. It gets used fairly regularly and shows little or no real wear and tear!
