The surface of the paddle is very smooth, is black, and has a matte finish to it. It's not sticky or tacky and glides easily over the skin. Though it's very smooth, it does pick up a fair amount of lint and dust, but is easily removed with your hands or a wipe.


The business end of the paddle is in the shape of a long, rounded rectangle and the handle starts off thinner and ends in a rounded tip. The entire paddle is one solid piece, the handle isn't separate from the rest of it. Since it's thicker than the rest of the paddle, it feels nice and solid in your hands and during use. Unlike some other paddles, this one doesn't stick straight out. When you hold it by the handle, the top part of it droops down and is very limp. It easily flops around, but can be controlled when you go to use it. The material isn't stretchy in any way, but can easily be manipulated when you try.



On top of the handle has the only real marking on the piece. It says 'Tantus' in raised letters toward the top of the handle and at the base is a small hole. The hole has a thin cord running through it when it first arrives. It's large enough that it could be hung on a hook, but not wide enough to put around even a thin wrist. Should you wish to have a longer cord that would go around your wrist, it would be easy to remove the one that's there and replace it with another one. Aside from those areas, there is a seam that goes around the entire perimeter of the paddle. You can only slightly feel the seams, but they don't stand out when you're using it and it isn't a problem.




The material feels really high quality and should last a lifetime if properly taken care of. Even with heavy use, it doesn't seem as though it will cause any type of wear. Unless something punctures the material or it's exposed to a similar material or any lubricant other than water-based, there's really nothing to worry about.

The toy is a decent weight for this type of play. It's weighted enough that it feels good in your hands without ever feeling heavy. I would imagine after continuous whacking it could start to feel a little heavy, but it's going to depend on how long you're using it for.

The length of the toy makes it difficult to use when you're engaging in intercourse since it's so long, but is a great item to use if your partner is tied up on the bed and you're standing over them.


When first removed from the plastic, to my surprise there was a little bit of a funny smell to it. It almost reminds me of a rubbery scent even with the material type.

Snap Strap Paddle works really well for its designed purpose. It's not the best choice for a beginner since it can deliver some pretty powerful blows, but for a loving, adventurous couple it should work okay.

My biggest complaint is that it's harder to manipulate during intercourse and when you and your partner are close together. The whole paddle is too limp and you can't get a good enough impact that way either.

Since this paddle is made entirely of silicone, it's very easy to clean and sterilize your item. For regular clean up, washing with antibacterial soap and warm water or using your favorite sex toy cleaner are the best options. For a much deeper clean, this toy can be boiled for up to three minutes, or put on the top rack of your dishwasher.

If you're planning on using this toy on an area that might have lubricant on it, always make sure that the lube you've used is water-based. The surface of the paddle could become damaged and take away from the quality of the piece if it comes in contact with any other lubricant type.

The only information included with the paddle is on the tag that's attached with a clear cord to the bottom of the handle. It has a frosted, clear tag that seems like it's made out of a rubber or silicone and it simply says 'Tantus' on the bottom. This tag lays over a white tag that gives the only information there is to know about the paddle.
