The Fur Lined Paddle is a wonderful paddle from Sportsheets. It has two distinct sides. One side is black leather while the other side is completely covered in black faux fur. Having only owned one other paddle, I chose the Fur Lined Paddle as my second paddle because it looked like something that can be gentle but that can still deliver a mildly painful blow with the right amount of force. It will work great for every level of users, from those just entering the world of impact play to those advanced users who want a more gentle paddle. This paddle is best used to spank your partner's ass, legs, back, stomach, breasts, or anywhere else they crave a smack with this leather and fur beauty.

This paddle is small enough to travel with and is enough to spice up any vacation. Toss it in your checked luggage or your carry-on. It may be long, but it's thin enough that it does not take up a lot of space. It's also small enough that it can fit in a backpack or a large purse if you're taking this with you on an overnight trip.

This paddle is very traditionally designed in terms of shape. It features a short handle and a long, wide striking surface. At the end of the handle is a loop. You can use this loop around your wrist to keep the paddle in hand while you're striking your partner. The loop can also be used to hang the paddle up for storage. In between the leather and the fur side is a wooden rod that helps the paddle maintain it's shape. It also gives the paddle more weight. In total, the paddle is 14.5" inches long, 5.5" of which is the handle portion. The striking surface is 9" long and 2.75" wide. This striking surface is long enough to cover my entire ass when my partner smacks me.



As I mentioned before, one side of his paddle is leather. I find this paddle best for actually spanking. The leather isn't the most luxurious leather. It does have a slight leather smell but it's not overwhelming. It's on the rougher side; it's not buttery smooth like some leather products available. The other side is covered in faux fur, which can provide a gentle tickling sensation. The faux fur is longer than velvet or fleece. It feels like the fake fur you find on cheap throw pillows. It's soft but it's not the highest quality fur. The overall design of this paddle is amazing.



This paddle is well put together. All of the stitching appears strong and the paddle has not shown any signs of wear in the time I've owned this. The paddle hasn't bent, scratched, or ripped through repeated uses. For an inexpensive paddle under $30, I'm impressed with the quality.

One side of this paddle is black leather; the other side is black fur. The two sides offer very different sensations when they are used. The leather side offers a wonderfully thuddy sensation when the entire striking surface hits the skin. The leather side can also be used to create a stinging sensation if just one small part of the striking surface hits the skin. Using just the edge of the paddle will produce more of a sting as all of the energy is concentrated into one area. The fur side can provide a really light thuddy sensation if you use that side to strike skin. However, I feel that the fur side is best used when it is gently rubbed across the skin in between strikes with the leather side. I absolutely love when my partner rubs the fur across my skin and suddenly flips the paddle around to smack me. The shock of the change with the thud of the leather is amazing.

This paddle has yet to leave any bruises on my skin. It will make my skin glow bright red after being struck but that fades. To be fair, my partner and I haven't yet tried to use this with a full force smack. If you put a lot of force behind your smack, I imagine you could leave a few light bruises. It can be pretty loud if you smack bare skin so I would recommend using this behind closed doors. It's not a very intense paddle but this is exactly what I was looking for in my second paddle. If you're just beginning to explore impact play, this paddle is a great introductory step. If you're more advanced, this paddle can be a great break from more intense impact toys or a good warm up.

Since this paddle isn't meant for insertion or anything, it shouldn't come in contact with bodily fluids, lube, or oils. If, by chance, you do manage to get something on this paddle, use a damp cloth to spot clean the dirty spot on the leather side. If the fur side comes in contact with any liquids, you can also use a damp cloth and a mild soap to clean the fur. Be sure to let it air dry before you store it.


The faux fur does seem like it can attract dust easily so it may be better to store this in a sealed area as opposed to hanging it to store it. I personally keep my paddle in a drawer with my other toys. This keeps it relatively safe from dust and dirt in the air. It's also thin enough you can store this under your mattress for easy access. Because of the loop on the handle, you can hang this to store. Hanging it on a wall or on a hanger in your closet will expose it to dust in the air so be aware of that.
