Sex and Mischief wild about S&M kit - bdsm kit discontinued by Sportsheets - review by ViVix

The Sex and Mischief Wild About S&M Kit is only kind of mildly wild, so I guess the best use of this item would be as an introduction of sorts. The animal print is so cliche that I doubt a full-grown woman would be turned off by the "wildness" of this kit even if she were a novice. There are cuffs, but they are fuzzy. There is the whip, but it takes a lot of concentration to even generate a mild sting. My only concern is that a male partner will be turned off by the pattern and girlishness of this kit...leaving it unused and closet-bound.

The materials include polyester, vinyl, and metal. This creates a hodgepodge of cleaning confusion for me. The tassels on the whip feel like elastic strips. The cuffs are fairly soft, but they're a little itchy. The mask, at the very least, has a smooth side where it lays on your eyes. The handle of the whip is very lightweight, but it is also easy to grip. It actually may be the sexiest part of the whip. The mask and the cuffs are one size fits most, and they will fit most. The fur from the cuffs does shed, and the key to the cuffs is difficult and unnecessary.

Well, I hadn't read reviews on this kit prior to buying it (at least not any that I could remember). Therefore, I was quite excited to see a set of keys attached, and then I was quite disappointed when the keys didn't need to be used to get into and out of the cuffs. The cuffs still cuff...even with my gigantic "man hands." The blindfold works...there's really no middle ground with blindfolds. They work, or they don't. However, the whip was attractive, but it really had little function. Only if swung incredibly hard and if just the tips of the tassels made contact did this item actually create even a mild sting.

Given all of the different materials (btw add wood to that equation), cleaning is a big issue. Some things can be wiped clean, some can be washed, some may rust. Basically, if this kit gets dirty, just lay down on the floor and cry a little. As for storage, it can go in its box, or the items can simply be tossed into a drawer. At least that part is easy!

My favorite part of this kit might have been the back of the packaging. There was a short erotic story of sorts, and it was kind of a nice little surprise/thrill. It also didn't hurt this kit that the woman on the front of the package managed to make the whip look like it might actually do some harm (she holds the loop to hang it up with somewhat like a slingshot).
