As a crop this toy came with a very unique design, allowing the tops of it to be changed. This allows for a multitude of sensations with just one toy. This works shockingly well for both beginners and advanced players. It's pretty great for anyone into kink play. It is definitely a stingy toy more than a thuddy toy, but the amount of pain is very easily controlled with the intensity of the hit, especially with a little bit of practice. It comes with three tops. The loop is great for warm up play because it makes a loud sound with not a lot of pain. The heart is is the next least intense and then the hand is the most intense but also the most fun.

The three tops that it comes with all have advantages and disadvantages. The loop top is the least painful out of them. It makes a nice smacking sound but doesn't really hurt a ton even with a moderately hard swing. The problem with it is that the bottom part of it has a bit of a bulge where the rod is inserted making it act more as a cane than a crop. This is the same disadvantage to the heart. The great thing about the heart is the surface area. It is really quite wide, causing the pain to spread out over a larger area, and even leaving a cool heart-shaped print sometimes. The heart is stiffer than the loop as well. This is nice as it makes it easier to control. The last top that the system comes with is a hand. This is far and away my and my boyfriend's favorite. It leaves an awesome hand-shaped mark for quite a while due to the stiffness and the stitching around the edge. The thickness of this top is greater making the bulge where the rod is far less noticeable. The handle portion itself is very stiff. This is both good and bad. In my opinion, it's good because it can be used as a cone should the mood strike, but my boyfriend disagrees, saying that it's a distraction. It is spectacular for travel because it breaks down. It fits in a small carry on size suitcase. This allowed us to take it places whereas the other crop had to remain at home. All in all, the design of this is great!

To start with we did not like this toy at all, but upon further use we started to really appreciate it. There is excitement in not knowing what sensation is coming next and fun in having visible shapes show up on your body. This toy has far exceeded my expectations in its intended use. As mentioned earlier, it also works as a cane. Whether you find this an advantage or disadvantage is up to you. If you don't intend to use it as a cane though, you do need to be careful about which part you are hitting with. The additional tops for this are also quite fun. It is cool that you can buy new tops as you want or can.

This toy is really easy to store as it breaks down and fits in our toy box (which is a carry-on size suitcase). It is also very easy to clean as you just run a damp cloth over it to clean it. The one issue we have found is that finding the heads mixed in with all of the other toys can be a challenge, as they are fairly small.
