With a little practice, you can become very skilled in a short amount of time.

The design is sleek, simplistic, and rather nice looking. The color scheme of black and red works well in a BDSM setting, and just looks good in general when you get down to it. The straps are woven material of the type commonly found on backpacks or travel bags. The leash is the same material and connects to the collar via metal snap and ring. In terms of size, it should fit most people, in that the velcro can easily be loosened or tightened on both the cuffs and collar. While the black straps are soft to the touch, the red fabric is way plusher and comfortable against your skin. The collar even feels like it has padding within the red fabric for added comfort to your neck and throat.

Overall, I found this an easy item to use. You can fasten it yourself, and get free easily with the velcro. This makes it ideal for one who would enjoy putting it on in a solo experience. Some metal cuffs would make more difficult. I found that it could be worn in two different ways.

The first is to put the leash on the back of your neck, so your hands are cuffed in front of you. This method allows you to remove the collar more easily and if push comes to shove you can use your teeth on the velcro cuffs to get them loose again.

The second method is more for an advanced user, at least if you plan on using it in a solo capacity. That being to put the leash against your throat, and have your hands fastened behind your back. This one is more difficult to manage in that you are doing things more by feel when it comes to fastening and releasing the velcro.

Safety is the main concern here. Obviously, this one is not something you would wear, or allow someone else to wear, while asleep. While the collar may be loose enough that it is easy to breathe, moving while asleep could still restrict your airway or your partner's.

Similarly, do not try the hands behind your back method without a lot of practice wearing it with hands bound in the front. Practice getting the velcro loose from your hands, and then practice some more with your eyes closed. Only after you can do it easily this way, should you cuff your hands behind your back. I'd strongly recommend leaving the collar unfastened while you practice getting your hands free with hands behind your back.

This only applies to one using it in a solo capacity, of course. That being said, never tighten the collar to the point where it restricts your breathing, even if by only a small amount when you are using this item alone. It would be very easy to misjudge your breathing capacity and the amount of time it would take you to get loose while your hands are behind your back.
