Frankenkoller by Leatherbeaten - review by Avery Dragon

As I begin to focus a more on the BDSM lifestyle, I’ve come to realize I look for stronger and sexy products. Leatherbeaten has become a rather big name in the Eden community as of late with due reason. Their products are high-quality and honestly, quite beautiful. My first product from them has brought much happiness and honestly some interesting feelings that were unexpected.

The Frankenkoller is very interesting in how it hits so many different points at the same time. This is a unisex collar that will bring different emotions to each wearer. Though this may not make it out to the fanciest restaurants, it holds its own elegance that cannot be denied.

Made with tough high grade leather that won’t fall apart on you, the strap has a total length of 19”, the last 1/4” of each end tapering to a point. The leather is 1/8” thick and has a very soft finish on the outside and inside. Each end of the leather strip has 6 holes that are 3/4" away from each other. There is a definite leather scent to the collar. The black is defined with a soft sheen in certain lights, but it isn’t shiny.

The hardware on the Frankenkoller is very nice. The monster ring is being held to the center of the leather strip by a nickel plated brass rivet. The monster ring is a hinged ring that is made from chrome plated steel. This ring holds very nicely when being tugged. It has an inner diameter of about 1 3/4” and a thickness of 1/4". The last piece of hardware is the buckle. Most collars I’ve had, and seen, had the buckle attached to one side, however, this collar it is free to adjust as needed on both sides of the strap. It’s made from nickel plated steel and is in an obtuse half circle shape. In the center is a spike that will hold both sides of the leather strap securely.

The largest the collar will go is 17 1/4” and as smallest is 11”. There is a larger version of this collar for those with thicker necks. Because I am a heavy set man I have a thick neck, and I was very happy to say that at its largest, this collar did fit me. Though a little snug, I was still comfortable. Now this is where the earlier referenced feelings come in. I’ve been a submissive in many relationships, and I am trying to become more dominant. This collar, my first collar, usually a symbol of submission, made me feel more dominant.

Yes, more dominant. It’s not a question of manhood, but masculinity. For me, this is a masculine collar that made me feel like a bit of an animal that’s been let off a chain. This collar has brought a new excitement to me that I look forward to exploring with my partner. I tugged hard at the ring and no matter what I did, it held strong.

I am extremely happy with this collar. I am thinking that I’ll be purchasing a second one. Not for my partner… well not necessarily. Seeing how small it can get, I feel it could also work as a good arm band, and having one on each and attaching a chain to each or some similar scenario would be rather enjoyable.
