Mini crop top system - flogging toy by Sportsheets - review by Airen Wolf

I believe that a well rounded toy box has different sizes of toys to suit different situations. With that in mind I ordered the Mini Crop Top System to complement my Interchangeable Crop Top System from Sportsheets. The crops are exactly the same but one is substantially smaller in length which makes it dang near perfect for up close cropping. You add in the fact that the toppers can fit either shaft and you have a handful of crops or one for every occasion!

Like the larger size the mini crop is a hollow tube of black metal wrapped in a braided nylon sleeve which is in turn wrapped in a soft plastic sleeve that is textured to resemble a leather wrapped handle. At the very end of the shaft is a hard plastic cup with Sportsheets written in white on the end. The entire length of the shaft is 13 inches compared to the 20.5 inches of the larger version. The plastic textured wrap handle measures 7 inches providing plenty of room for the user to hold the crop comfortably. The shaft of the mini crop doesn't have the nice long braided nylon area for cropping making the topper much more important to this crop. The braided nylon bit only measures 3.75 inches as opposed to the 11 inches available on the larger sized crop.

This crop has very little flexibility and can deliver a punishing blow so the user would be wise to practice on themselves and go slow and careful while learning this crop. This isn't a lightweight play crop it means business. Without a topper this is more like a quirt than a proper crop but it is great for up close and personal play or for smaller fleshy areas.

The topper that comes with this crop adds 7.25 inches to the total length of the crop. It is a leather flat slapper that is composed of two rectangles of medium grade leather stitched together. it is sturdy and the stitching is even and very secure. It is further bound to the metal stem by a 2 inch wrapping of nylon tape and plastic covered metal bands. This will not fall apart easily!
The slapper is very flexible and fairly long measuring about 3.5 inches from the top of the metal stem to the edge of the leather slapper.
This is a leather product so it should be kept dry and out of direct sunlight to prevent cracking, molding and mildew growth. If it gets wet simply wipe it down with a dry cloth and air dry.
The topper slides into the metal stem of the shaft and will not pop off during use or break with impact but it will come apart easily after play and for easy storage.

All of the toppers available on EF will fit this mini crop as well as the other longer version making them a very versatile and interesting set.
One drawback for me was the lack of a wrist strap/hanging strap on this little crop. Still it looks wicked awesome sitting in a wide mouth vase with my other ticklers and teasers!

Be aware of where you are aiming your crop at all times to prevent injury to your partner. Crops should be used on fleshy areas of the body and should be kept away from areas where bone is not well padded. It will leave marks if the user desires and can really hurt!

My favorite picture is of one of my subs crawling towards the camera with this little crop in his mouth....so beautiful! The PVC handle wrap resists teeth marks and makes am amazing gag in a pinch.

I have used this crop alone to crop small areas of the body that a longer handle makes much more tricky and less personal. The crop is still stitched firmly and looks slightly worn. Used with the Crop Top handles it becomes a great toy for Pony play or those times your sub hasn't earned the up close and personal treatment!
