Well Made but Poorly Thought Out

These cuffs seem like a great idea - assuming you're the right size for them. The cuffs are composed of tough nylon straps, with one end wrapped around small PVC tubes (these go over your door) and the other end attached to metal rings on the cuffs. The Velcro cuffs are lined with a thin but soft fabric. All parts seemed very sturdy and well put together when we tested them. Additionally, the cuffs were adjustable enough for all sizes of wrists I can imagine, and probably most ankles as well - although this company makes ankle cuffs as well. The setup looped over our door was quite sturdy, and the straps didn't pull back and forth across the top of the door. Additionally, the salesperson at my friendly neighborhood sex toy store mentioned that if the gap above the door was too big for the little PVC tubes, one could drape a towel over the door to fill the gap.

Unfortunately, this toy is not at all adjustable and really only works for a very specific combination of people and door sizes. I didn't break out the tape measure, but I think our door is a fairly standard size. After hooking up the cuffs over the door - a surprisingly sturdy setup - we tested them out. They were a fine height for me (5'11") but we couldn't even Velcro them around my partner(5'4")'s wrists because they were too tall. She looped her wrists in the cuffs for a little while, but her wrists quickly started hurting with this setup and we gave up. I could also easily see someone who is too tall - or with a door too short - not being sufficiently restrained. Overall, this setup was a disappointment for us.

On the upside, we discovered that the cuffs were still usable for us because we could attach rope we already had to the rings on the cuffs and use them for other purposes.

These cuffs really are a fantastic idea. If you're looking at them, I can absolutely recommend them - assuming you do your research and make sure they're the right size for you.
