Use

Super Strap Love Ties are tubes that can be used to restrain your lover in many different ways. They're just four 60 inch tubes, so the possibilities are endless.

You could use them as cuffs by wrapping them around your partner's wrists and/or ankles. You could also use them as tether type restraints by attaching a strap to each limb and then anchoring them to something. They'd even work to hog tie your partner if you wanted. Whatever you can do with rope you can do with these ties.

They're somewhat hard to wiggle your way out of; although, it is doable, they probably wouldn't be best suited for any kind of heavy restraint. If true restraint makes you nervous (Gerald's Game anyone??) then these might just be the ticket since it IS possible to wriggle your way out of these.

Design / Craftsmanship / Material / Size / Fit

These ties are a lot larger than I thought they were, diameter wise. I don't know why but I imagined them to be much thinner, like the diameter of a drinking straw. But, they're much thicker than that, which at first I saw as a con but now I can see the benefit in that. See, them being thicker does make them harder to tie, it's a little bit more cumbersome and they don't store as easily as I thought they would (The box is pretty darn big). But, the added thickness of them does mean that they won't dig into your skin. Now of course some might still see that as a con, but for me that's a definite plus.

They're somewhat stretchy, enough that you can tie them pretty tight without having to worry that you're cutting off circulation, and stretchy enough that you have a little bit of wiggle room if you use them as a tether. Again, this could be either a pro or a con. Actually, for me I'm not even sure which it is. It's nice to be able to move around a bit, but the whole purpose of restraint is to not be able to. If you really want to not be able to move they need to be looped around quite a bit so that there isn't any give left.

At first the material felt tacky, but as I've used them they've gotten smoother. They do pick up lint, as they're made out of TPR, but it's not too bad. It doesn't pull or drag against my skin much, but if you are hairy then it might. There is a slight rubbery smell but it's not much and it's not offensive in any way.

As for size and fit, the great thing about these straps is that they're totally customizable. There's no worry about wrists being too thin or too thick and you don't need special ties for special areas of the body. The only limit to these ties is the extent of your imagination.

If you really wanted to you could also cut these ties to custom fit them to a length that you prefer; they would easily cut with regular kitchen scissors. Also, one thing I like is that, if worse comes to worst, my kids see these they're just tubes; at their age they wouldn't have any idea what they're used for.

Performance

These ties actually worked out better than I thought they would. I found for using them as cuffs the best method is to wrap them in a figure 8 form a few times and then tie a double knot in the center between the two ankles or wrists. This allows for a comfortable fit that stays pretty well and is relatively hard to get out of.

For using them as restraints, I found that either using a simple double knot design or doing a loop around, tucking them under (kind of like when tying a shoe) and then another loop around followed by a double knot worked best. This was both comfortable and stayed in place well. When attaching them to whatever you're using as an anchor, you can loop it around as many times you need to in order to get the desired length and then double knot or you can just tie the knot further up on the tube leaving a tail. Whichever you prefer it'll work out fine...just be sure you do a double knot. A single tie does not hold these well at all.

You can also use a single tie and tie a knot around each wrist or ankle leaving a long piece in between. You can then loop that piece around something like a banister as a single piece restraint. This is what I prefer best: as I can leave these like this in my drawer, all that's needed each time is to just loop it around whatever is the anchor and then slide them onto the wrists.

Care and Maintenance

These tubes are really just pieces of TPR. You can wash them with soap and water as needed. I like storing them in the box they came in, as it keeps them from picking up lint.

Packaging

This box is much bigger than I thought it would be and is anything but discreet! The box shows a woman in a number of different ways of restraint in a sexy red bra and panties. There's no if's, and's, or but's about what this product is for if it's in the packaging. There also is no instructions with the packaging, which was a bummer for me as I am anything but a bondage pro. At first I was thinking to myself "what the heck do I do with these???". They kind of leave you to figure it out on your own; although, you can use the pictures on the box as a guide.

Experience

These straps have been a great introduction to restraints. Since we're so new to it, we didn't really know what kind we wanted. With cuffs, tethers, ties, there's just so much to choose from. These straps can be used as any of those things; it's been a great way to spice up our sex life. I'm a scooter, meaning that when I am brought to orgasm repeatedly I start scooting across the bed, which inevitably leads to my husband having to follow me around the bed. This can be fun, but sometimes it's just sexy to be held in one place. Prior to using these we had used body weight, but this leaves my husband the ability to move around and get in different positions.

I have to say this is probably the only thing I've gotten so far that has made his eyes instantly light up and take the package for a closer look!
Follow-up commentary
After getting some actual cuffs and tethers, the Super Strap love ties are just too much work for us to really bother with. They require a bit more time to get out and secure and while the ties are not uncomfortable or painful, a padded cuff is definitely much more comfortable to struggle against. I also found that the way that made them easiest to use doesn't give us the best resistance and it's easy to pull out of these.

I would still recommend them to those who like rope play, but want something that has some stretch. If you want something to make more detailed ties and have more ability to get creative, the love ties are pretty awesome. They're definitely best for those that find the act of tying up their partner to be erotic. For us we wanted something a bit more quick so we could get to the action.

In the end, the Super Strap love ties hold up well. They take a beating and are easy to wash and maintain. I think they're still a great and fun product; they're just not for us.

You mentioned Gerald's Game. Brownie points. When I first saw this, I totally was expecting them to be ties that could tie themselves. Great to see the video.
