Always remember that leather should not be soaked or submerged in water. Do not wear your collar in the shower, tub, or any other place where water is present and in large amounts. The design of this collar is simplistic, but it will hold up to normal wear and tear well, and should last for a long time with normal play and regular maintenance. If you want, you can also add a d-ring or o-ring to the notched side of the collar in order to attach a leash. Simply slip it on and you can hook a lead on.

Once on, this collar is sturdy, and will not come loose from the buckle closure that it has. If tugged or yanked on, it doesn't budge, and can hold up to some fairly good amount of force applied to it. This collar is not intended for suspension purposes, so do not use it for such. As stated before in the previous section, this collar requires an average neck to use it. If you're having trouble with this, an extender of some sort may help. Cutting the buckle and a few of the notches off of an old belt can serve as an extender for this collar.

To add an extension, place the buckle of the old belt through one of the notches in the collar. Use the notches in the old belt through the buckle of the collar and voila, you have extended it. Make sure that the belt is the same width or about the same width of the collar, otherwise it will not work. Even without the extender, this collar is easy to put on and take off. It does not have a locking feature, but it doesn't need one.

There weren't any instructions included with the collar, but it's straightforward so there weren't any instructions required. The collar came shipped in a small, unmarked, brown cardboard box. There weren't any kind of labels to give away what was inside. It was simply marked Web Merchants Inc. with the name and address to the receiver.

The package was secure and had an air pillow inside of it to keep it from bumping around. If you'd like to gift this to someone, the shipping label was fairly easy to peel off of the box without damage. You could wrap the box it comes packaged inside of with wrapping paper. This will keep the collar discreet and won't embarrass whoever you're gifting it to. If the box is somehow damaged, you can re-box it or simply put the collar into a big enough gift bag.
