“Smooth as silk” is a saying that has seen much popularity over time, and I hear it used often in my daily life. What better to make a sensual product out of than a material that has set the standard for smoothness? Well, silk does feel lovely on the skin, as does crushed velvet. The makers of the ZOMI Silk Bondage Set have created a set of sensual bondage gear that uses both of these materials. The three piece set includes an eye mask, cuffs, and a pretty little bag to carry them and your other sensual toys when you go to visit your special someone.

If you want something to suspend your sub with in your dungeon, then look elsewhere. This is a light-use bondage kit, and really isn’t going to stand up to heavy tugging or more heavy BDSM scenes. Instead this is a kit for sensual evenings that will delight your senses. The softness and the smoothness will have you swooning with delight, even if you are wearing the blindfold and can’t even see the beautiful embroidery design.

The bag is 12 inches long, 2 1/2 inches wide, and 9 inches tall. The inside has a nylon lining and a small side pocket (it is open and has no closure to keep things from spilling out). The outside bottom is reinforced with what looks to be nylon as well, and the top closes with a simple black zipper.

The two cuffs are 9 inches long with the ties measuring between 11 and 12 inches (from outside D-ring to tail end). The back of the cuffs are crushed velvet with the top or outer side being silk. The sash meant for tying is sewed onto the outside of the cuff encasing the three small D-rings, and adheres them to the cuffs. The stitching is sound, though I would advise against putting excessive force on it, as the material or stitches are bound to rip at some point. I found the tails long enough to make large bows with or even to use them to tie the cuffs together with. The tails are smooth and slick, so expect some eventual loosening of the knots during use.

The blindfold is crushed velvet on the inside and silk on the outside just like the cuffs. The size of the eye mask portion seemed good, though I would like to have seen a larger cut for the nose. The elastic is quite stretchy but is strong and holds the eye mask tighter than I like. I have an average to small sized head and I found it so tight that it put pressure on my closed eyes. Just for curiosity’s sake, I tried it on my 2 year old daughter, and it fit her head perfectly. It smashed my nose, but it fit her so perfectly it did not on her. The blindfold would be much better in my opinion (sexier too) if it tied shut with a sash like the cuffs do. It does block out light quite effectively, besides narrow slits of light on either side of my nose where I am able to barely see out.

Overall, I think this is a really good kit. I am not getting much use out of the blindfold, but the cuffs and the bag do see a lot of use. The quality of the material and the stitching is not perfect, but it is far from dismal. It is sensual, fun, and would be a great addition to a romantic evening. I’d suggest tossing a candle or two, some flavored lube, and a feather tickler into the bag along with the cuffs and blindfold for a perfect evening with your sweetie.
