Male condom discontinued

Smart idea, bad implementation

If you are not used to ultra-thin condoms, these stand a chance. It's complicated to use because it matters which direction you put it on, but the indicator is hard to find. By the time you figure it out, you might lose interest. I wanted to like these, but I couldn't.

extremely useful review
I was eager to try these. They are supposed to give you a special feeling with the extra shape. I liked the concept of a curved condom. For those that don't have a perfectly straight dick, this might seem interesting.

They arrive in a box unlike wholesale condoms. The brief instruction of this shape is only found on the box, while the inside manual doesn't tell much. It says there are ribs that you can feel even in the dark, to figure out the direction. The looser latex, the ribs and the reservoir tip should be upwards. One thing I don't get is how can they generalize this? Some people have upward or downward curve, maybe to the side, or just a straight one. It depends on your shape in which direction you want the curve to go.

Let's see how they work. The condoms are packed in golden packets. You can tell they are thick because of the size of each one. I'm used to ultra-thin condoms and these packets are very puffy compared to those. When taken out, you have to find those indicator ribs. However, that's not easy! Because in the rolled-up state, there are wrinkles and rib-looking creases all over, that mask the indicator ribs.

I looked at it in broad daylight and I couldn't decide which direction to put it on. By the time I made a decision I lost my interest down there. Upon trying it several times, I never ended up putting it on right. It was always rotated in a wrong direction. It was very frustrating. Upon rolling one out, you can see the ribs, which you should find, but they are on a relatively small area around the top portion of the condom. They can't be felt during use, as that's not their purpose. They are in the direction of movement and are tiny. I don't know how one should be able to find them when the thing is rolled up! One time I was able to get it right but I believe it was only by chance.

The curve doesn't do too much. It's rather uncomfortable because the looser end (that's on the outer side of the curve) is just too much material and you can feel the excess as wrinkles that rub you in a wrong way. Duh, I was so tired of this! Regular, thin condoms accommodate to any kind of curve and don't leave you feeling like this.

They got a bad smell. This really varies between different types of condoms. You can't assign one particular smell to a manufacturer and expect all of their condoms to smell the same. I was surprised that these smelled weird compared to what smells I’m used to by other Durex condoms.

I was looking for data on the thickness, and I got various results around 0.002" or 0.05 mm. I'm telling you it feels MUCH thicker than that. Like an extra-safe! You can also hear this weird plastic bag sound they make when you fool around with them in your hand.

My favorite condom, the Extra Sensitive also by Durex has the same thinness in theory, but in practice, it feels like half of this thickness. Durex is my favorite manufacturer of condoms; they have been around me for years. I got nothing against them, but these didn't quite hit my mark.

Ah! I had suspicions this would be no good, especially because of what you described here:

"It's rather uncomfortable because the looser end (that's on the outer side of the curve) is just too much material and you can feel the excess as wrinkles that rub you in a wrong way."

That was my main concern. Great review.
