An Amazingly Comfortable Harness.

Although it takes a little while to get the hang of inserting a soft packer into them, the SpareParts Pete trunks packer are extremely comfortable to wear for long periods of time and securely hold onto your packer with no worries about it falling out. They are definitely worth the cost!

extremely useful review
The SpareParts Pete trunks packer arrived in a simple plastic bag with a few inserts, including one with directions on how to use it. This was good, because my first reaction to the trunks was "Okay... wait, what?" Although they look like any other pair of trunks, they were confusing to figure out at first.

Starting from the inside there's one flap that opens to the right, and another one behind it that opens to the left. When these two are pulled close, whatever soft packer you're using is hidden in the trunks. Your packer sits in the pocket formed by these two flaps. There's also an elastic strap in that pocket that can be looped over the balls of your packer to hold it in place. In the front of this pocket is a small slit through which you can pass the shaft of your packer to another pocket in the very front of the trunks that is covered by one final flap of fabric. It's this small hole that caused my initial confusion, because I was expecting the back pouch to be more open with the front of the trunks and until I found it I couldn't figure out how to get the shaft of my packer through to the front of the trunks.

However, once I did situate my packer in the trunks it was definitely secure in there! With the addition of the extra strap to hold the packer in place it seemed like nothing I could do would dislodge it. Walking, jumping, running- no matter what I tried, it wasn't slipping out.

The instructions that come with the SpareParts Pete trunks packer explain how to situate a packer in the trunks, point out the elastic strap to hold the packer in place (which is good, because otherwise I would have missed that), how to pull your packer through the small hole to the front, and also how to use an STP device with the trunks. The instructions have pictures that go along with them which were a bit helpful, however they aren't very easy to see.

The SpareParts Pete trunks packer is 88% nylon, 12% spandex jersey. They feel a bit like wearing a pair of Under Armour shorts. I personally prefer to wear them with another pair of underwear, although theoretically they could be worn by themselves. The sizing information given on the packing insert is: 28-30" for S, 32-34" for M, 36-38" for L, 40-42" for XL, 44-46" for XXL, and 48-50" for 3XL. My measurement was right on the border between a medium and a large. I ultimately went with the large, and I'm glad I did. They fit snugly without being constricting and are extremely comfortable to wear for long periods of time. The material is stretchy though, so even if I had ordered a medium I feel like it still would have been relatively comfortable to wear.
Follow-up commentary
While I still like my SpareParts trunks, I have noticed that if I have the shaft of my packer pulled through to the front-most pocket, it tends to stick out more and can make it look like I have a slight erection. I've taken to mostly wearing these around the house, or securing my packer in the back pocket of the trunks so it doesn't lead to any potentially awkward situations in public.

However, they're still extremely comfortable and still hold my packer securely in place, so I certainly won't be getting rid of them anytime soon.
