Leather strap rider - double strap harness by EdenFantasys - review by Airen Wolf

The Leather Strap Rider by EdenFantasys is a gorgeous and well constructed leather harness that fits a maximum waist size of 42 inches according to the site but I have found that it fits my closer to 44 inch waist just fine.
It is a minimal design and fits like a jock strap. It is perfect for pegging and for straight up harness sex. I can't see any reason that this would be rated as either beginner or as more advanced, but the user will have to know what they are doing with a dildo since the stiffness of the leather and the lack of frontal support makes the harness less stable. Not terribly less stable, mind you, and even a novice like myself is able to use it with ease.
This would make a great first harness given the quality of the materials and the price point but larger users will have to note that the waist strap has no give though with a simple leather hole punch a few inches can be obtained.
The leather is somewhat stiff and might be uncomfortable for packing, though with use I expect it to soften up quite a bit without cracking. I would be worried about sweat making the leather discolored and even stiffer though use as a sex harness should be just fine even if you tend to sweat quite a bit.

This harness smells heavenly and I have been told by playmates that it is a pleasure to give a blow job with this harnesses scent in the nostrils. Since I am a sensual sadist I really like it when my playmate'e eyes light up at the thought of me pulling out a favorite toy! The leather is medium quality which makes it perfect, as far as I am concerned, for everyday play and use. It doesn't have that nauseating leather smell of low quality leathers and the sueded side of the leather is soft enough to be comfortable but not so soft that it sheds or rubs.

The leather is shiny when new but not so shiny that it looks fake. With use I have noticed that the wear and tear has made me look more like a pro that I really am. The stitching is waxed thread and suitably even. I have noticed zero raveling even though we have twisted and pulled on the straps preparing for this review. We punched one new hole in the waist strap and the leather didn't fray or crack like cheap latigo leather can.



The finishings and O ring are made of silver metal and the metal is heavy duty enough to stand up to harsh use. I haven't noticed any of the silver paint rubbing off or oxidizing but it's still early. I don't expect it to, honestly, as the metal seems to be good quality.

This harness is designed to be minimalistic while providing support for a variety of dildos. The waist strap fits comfortably but doesn't go up to my usual 62 inch choices. My waist is just at 44 inches so I was worried this would be tight and fit awkwardly. It did not and there is room to add one or two more holes in the strap to ease the fit- or tighten it if the need should be.

The butt straps are adjustable but without a triangle of leather to support the O ring the dildo is a bit less supported and the harness can slip around on the hips a bit. If this is a massive issue with you I would suggest going with a panty or a double strap harness that has neoprene straps with felted insides to prevent the slippage and for stability. The minimalist design allows the user to get closer to his/her partner. If the user should desire a vibrating bullet he or she might need to use a dildo that has a slot (like any of the Tantus vibrating dildos) or rig something to hang on the harness itself.

The O ring is interchangeable thanks to the three snaps on the harness. It will fit a wide variety of dildo sizes easily. It holds them sturdily but it does hold them against the skin so be aware that if you have any allergies to dildo materials that you might have a reaction. It can also cause the dildo to rub against the pubic bone.

This is a one size fits most harness with a reported maximum waist size of 42". My hips are just a bit bigger than 42 inches but I was able to fit the harness easily and comfortably. There is room on the harness strap to punch a few more holes either to make it larger or smaller.

While this harness could be worn under clothing I doubt it would be very comfortable for all day wear.

I found the leather to be heavenly scented but a bit stiff and bulky especially for wearing under clothing. It was easy to slip on and buckle up but it has a tendency to slide around a bit. I love that the O ring is compatible but not having a place to put a vibrator for my enjoyment is a bit of a negative. I'll admit that for me it's not a huge negative.

It was easy to change dildos during play so using a smaller dildo for a pegging warm up and then moving through thicknesses is easy but requires a set of O rings in various sizes.



The dildo sits low on my pelvis but I can angle the dildo to brush my clitoris fairly easily increasing my satisfaction. It's fairly easy to adjust the placement of the dildo, which I see as a plus, but heavier dildos may slip a bit making the thrust a bit awkward.

I found that this harness was easy to use with a female partner as well as a male partner. It holds up well to being ridden as well as being used as a thrusting harness. The straps can rub a bit but not so badly that it irritates the skin to blister. I tried the harness over underwear and it worked pretty well but the undies got all twisted and it's never a good thing to get your panties in a bunch!

This is a leather product but I do not recommend using leather cleaner or mink oil on it as it is meant to rest next to the skin and the chemicals in the products can irritate sensitive skin. Saddle soap in very small quantities can be used on the outside of the harness but I would recommend not using it on the inside for the same reasons listed above.

Honestly a soft and damp cloth will clean the harness perfectly well. Follow with a thorough airing to prevent molding and mildewing and you have all you need to keep the harness clean and serviceable. I wouldn't store the harness in direct sunlight as it could bleach or cause the leather to crack. I hang my harnesses on a tie rack in my closet but this could be just as easily stored in a drawer or toy box.

The packaging with this harness is a simple plastic bag that can be recycled.

I did find that the harness can slip around a bit but I didn't find this to be troublesome. I love the way I was able to get very close- even skin to skin with my partner which is something that felted harnesses with the flat stability triangle don't allow.
