It was not off-putting at all, but a little surprising since I did not remember reading that it was scented. The smell does fade a little with use and it helps to leave it air out for a few days. The dildo is available in blueberry, strawberry and grape, each scent matching its respective color- blue, red, and purple.

This dildo is by far one of the most difficult toys in my toy box to keep clean. The UR3 material is very porous, so it must always be washed with warm soap and water before and after each use. I have used cornstarch more times than not and see little difference in the amount of debris collected on the dildo. Water based lube is a must, because the use of silicone based lubes will destroy the material and cause it to even further harbor bacteria. The easiest way I have found to store the Ballsy is in the clear plastic clam shell that it came in. This is the best way I have found to keep it from coming into contact with other toys that may harm it, and from a lot of the lint, hair and dust that it would otherwise come into contact with.

The packaging for the UR3 Ballsy is very simple and not at all discreet. It comes in a clear plastic clam shell, which is molded to the shape and size of the toy. There are no instructions provided and none needed. I would not recommend giving this toy as a gift since it would be very obvious what exactly its intended use is, however the clam shell is great for storing the Ballsy in.

Though I have used this toy both solo and with a partner, I do prefer to use it alone only because as flexible as it is I feel more in control using it on myself. I have used the toy both right side up and upside down and love both sensations.
