Rubber ring set - multipurpose ring discontinued by Cal Exotics - review by Ciao.

There are certain things that while initially unexciting are still well worth the investment, and while I cannot say I was totally thrilled about getting a rubber ring set (after all it provides no immediate direct pleasure of its own), it is one of those things, like batteries, that is utterly essential to a great toy collection.

My partner and I have been doing strap on play for a long time now and while our beginner harness came with a pair of rubber o-rings of modest size there are definitely dildos out there that need a little more width to fit. This rubber ring set, by California Exotics, cures that problem offering ring sizes that cover the vast majority of dildos out there. Each ring is made of relatively flexible, but strong, black rubber and they range in size from 1.75" to 2" to 2.5". Amongst our collection of dildos most seemed to fit very comfortably into the 2" range, but we have always had a few that were just on the edge and the 2.5" takes care of those with ease.

While rubber may not be the safest of materials (there are chrome and silicone rings out there which offer more in that area), it is inexpensive, and chances are this is one thing you will not be actually inserting into your body. Normally I am pretty conscious about only getting the safest materials but in this case I feel completely comfortable using these rings on a regular basis. Cleaning can be accomplished with any basic toy cleaner or just soap and water.

The package the black rings come in is just about as no-frills as the product itself, a simple plastic case but it can easily be used to store them if you want to keep your toy box from getting cluttered.

In general if you have an interchangeable o-ring harness of any kind this product offers you all the sizes you are likely going to need to have fun. These rings may not be super sexy, but they are simple and well designed and are one of those necessary accessories that can make for a lot of fun!

We did not have too many toys that were in need of the largest of these rings, but found that our Jollies Thrust fit much better with the larger ring than it has with anything else we have tried. And while we do not use that dildo all that frequently it is nice to have the option to use larger toys than we could otherwise.

And if you are looking for an alternate use for these basic rings you can always use them as a tying point for a makeshift hogtie!
