Sedeux leather couture harness - double strap harness by Sportsheets - review by Red Vinyl Kitty

I once had what I considered to be the most perfect strap on ever ever. It was made of leather, and I used it almost every day, though admittedly 99% of that was on web cam. Still, eventually, the poor thing got too worn out, and I have been looking for a suitable replacement ever since.

I have tried four or five different strap-ons that had nylon straps in lieu of leather. This wasn't because I wanted nylon per se, but more because the cost of most leather harnesses I had my eye on were just too much for my budget at the time. The Sedeux Leather Couture Harness is an affordable option for many people, and while it has some drawbacks, it has served me well.

The harness is made from leather primarily, but it does also have foam on the inside front (the back of the section which holds the dildo itself. There are also a few scattered metal bits (like the buckle, and the snaps on the front of the harness itself).

The leather doesn't have a smell to it, though it does have quite a shine to it. The leather itself is neither too thick nor too thin. It is comfortable against the skin. The leather on the shiny side is slightly textured, but feels nice in the hands.

The design of the harness itself is pretty good, but there are some flaws. For one, I am completely unable to get the snaps off the thing without help from my husband or partner. It's really frustrating because I'd like to be able to change the dildo myself whenever needed, but it's just not possible. The upside to this is that the snaps do stay on very well, and I have yet to have any problems with the dildo coming off, etc, regardless of whether I am playing with a partner or on cam.

"Accomodates any size dildo," lies the box, straight to your face. Nope. Nuh-uh. No way! Unfortunately, you can fit a dildo which is about 1.5" in diameter, with the square dildo holder on the front, but that's about it. Does your partner like a lot of girth? Well, then mediocre news, everyone! You can fit a dildo no bigger than 2" in diameter with the second attachment, which is a big metal o-ring. Sure, most people will be pretty happy with 2" in girth, but if you're a serious size queen (or king) who happens to be tempted by the "Fits ANY size dildo" claim, then I am sad to tell you - your max is about 2" diameter. Boo.

The fit is a bit funny, but we'll get to that in a minute. Overall, the harness is a decent one, and also overall, this thing is built to last and will probably be in my arsenal for quite a long while.

Okay, here's where things get a bit tricky. For one, yes, if you're a person of size - you'll enjoy that this harness will actually fit you. (There are far too few plus sized strap ons out there). Personally, my waist is 32", so I don't really personally need this strap on to fit much more than that. It will fit up to 60" though, and as small as 18". The thigh straps will handle quite a bit too. They can cinch down as small as 6", which is pretty freaking small, and they will go up to 35". Measure just around the tops of your thighs, the tippy tippy tops - because that is where the harness will settle.

The waist will fit up to 60 inches, but here's the thing.. Most harnesses I have owned have two ways to adjust the waist. (One pull on each side). This has only one pull, on your right side. It's sort of a pain in the butt. I mean, yes - it feels sturdy and it holds the harness on with no real worries. But, it does feel sort of weird to only have the harness pulled tight on one side. I find that because of the strange configuration that the harness feels a bit more awkward than the traditional "adjust from both sides" harness does.

The portion of the harness which holds your toy will fit very low down on the pelvis, like a real penis might. This is good and adds a realistic factor, but I generally prefer to put my strap on about three or four inches higher when I'm using it with another person (on cam is not a big deal), because it allows me greater ease of use, and I don't get tired out as quickly. That's not an option with this harness. It will fit in where it fits it, and that's what you get.

I do really appreciate a lot of things about this harness. It's nice to be able to switch dildos without having to take it all the way off, for one. I like how it'll fit a lot of different sized people. I like how it fits me, with the exception of the fact that I wish it adjusted from both sides at the waist.

One other thing that is really handy about this harness is that, because it's made of leather - you never have the issue of getting the straps tangled before you put it on, even if you toss it in a drawer. It always is easy to figure out and put one. To make things extra easy, I always just loosen this by two or three notches to take it off, and I leave it like that in the drawer. That way I can easily get it on in less than one minute.

I've kept the harness whole because I am going to do a video review on it, and I want to be able to show you how long the straps really are. In the meantime, the extra long straps have really put a damper on things, even though I try tucking them out of the way - but once I trim them up I know this won't be an issue at all.

In use I don't have any issues like chafing, slipping, sliding, etc. I find that once on, the harness stays where you put it which is really nice, and not something I can say about every strap on I have tried.

I have put both small and large toys in (up to the max that this harness allows), and, I have found that the harness holds up really well even to heavier toys. I don't get the sagging that you can sometimes get with other, flimsier harnesses.

The harness comes in a big pink and white box with a picture of a woman on it, wearing the harness. There is no nudity on the box, but, seeing as how it says and shows a "strap on", you're not going to want to open this around children, parents, uncool room mates, or other prying eyes. If you don't care about people seeing the box (because you live alone, have an amazing hiding spot, or what have you), then the box does make a decent storage container for the harness itself. A drawer, duffle, or back pack would also be great. This is a pretty sturdy harness so you don't have to be really gentle with it.

As a cam girl - I do like this harness a lot. I wish it would hold some of my monster toys (some of my clients like seeing giant toys in a harness), but it does hold reasonable large ones just fine. I like the easy-on easy-off which is very important in cam work, and I like that it never gets tangled.

With other warm bodies in the same room with me, I do wish I could adjust it to fit just a little bit higher up on my pelvis to make the "work" easier, but overall, this is a decent harness which fits me personally, and looks great on. (Not to mention, it frames your butt and makes even flat bums like mine look pretty darn good!)
