Radiance 7.5" - realistic dildo by EdenFantasys - review by iovys

The best way to use Radiance is likely in a reclined pose, thrusting it in and out by hand. It claims to be O-Ring compatible, but I've no harness to test it with. Despite it having a suction cup, I've found it to be exceptionally weak and flimsy - I haven't been able to successfully ride Radiance against the wall or floor without it flopping off, leaving me utterly disappointed. One wrong angle or rougher tug and the toy separates from the surface.

IMPORTANT: This toy is not a beginner/newbie friendly! The measurements provided in the properties (as of the time when I write this review) are incorrect. Please see the Design/Shape/Size section for photos & details.

The best situation/occasion to make use of this toy is solo/with a partner. Its balls work nicely as a flare, so it's safe for anal use; however, that's not my cup of tea.

Radiance is semi-realistic; it has a classic phallic shape with an especially pronounced head that can be felt easily during insertion and thrusting (compared to other toys, I usually do not feel the head). Because it's made from silicone, it's hypo-allergenic, latex free, non-porous, and Phthalates free. I had hoped it would be on the squishier side of the spectrum, but it's rather firm. It's flexible enough to be bent in half, but it quickly springs back into its 'natural' curve with a little wiggle.

The toy is also very, very smooth. The only bumps are directly beneath the head (where it meets the shaft), and where the shaft meets the balls. The shaft itself is not bumpy; as a result, it's easy to move Radiance in and out very, very quickly with little-to-no friction. There was a slight silicone scent when I first opened the plastic bag it came in, but that quickly faded away after a few uses.

**IMPORTANT: The size provided in the properties (as of the time of me writing this review) is incorrect. I consider a toy with 1.5" diameter borderline beginner friendly; however, Radiance's diameter is actually closer to 1.7". This difference can and will be felt during use.**



I had noticed this size inaccuracy the moment I held Radiance in my hands, without measuring it - but I pulled out my measuring tape just to be sure. Rounding up, 14cm circumference converts to 1.754" diameter. Rounding down, 13.5cm circumference converts to 1.691". In both cases, it's larger than the 1.5" that is noted in the properties. In order for the toy to be closer to 1.5" diameter, it would have to have a circumference of 11.969cm.

Size discrepancies aside, I do like Radiance's design - it has a metallic purple color to it; nice and shiny. The curve/shape is pleasing, and despite the toy being somewhat firm, it's flexible enough to conform to my body's shape. It is phallic, comes with no storage box or pouch - therefore I wouldn't say it's travel-friendly.

I really, really like the shape/size of Radiance's head - the fact that I can actually feel it when I use the toy (both quickly and slowly) speaks for itself. The curve's great - it makes finding my G-Spot a piece of cake. Because the toy is smooth, and with almost-no nooks n' crannies, I can thrust away much faster than I usually would. However, the suction cup does not do its job well at all. I simply cannot use it on a flat surface without it popping off within 2-3 thrusts, and that's not really sexy. The same happened when I tried it on the (wet) tiles in the shower. I even put it on the floor by itself, and it couldn't hold its own weight up for more than 10 seconds.

Radiance is easy to take care of; entirely made of silicone! It is, however, a dust/lint magnet. Therefore, I always clean it with soap and water before and after each use. You can use toy cleaner, a water-bleach (10:1) solution, or boil it for 3 minutes instead if you feel it needs a 'deeper' clean. Because Radiance is silicone, I stick to water-based lubricants. I really wish EdenFantasys provided a storage pouch or box with it, as I don't have spare ones lying around, and I worry about this dildo's lifespan.

Radiance arrived in a plain, brown cardboard box, with the sender marked as "Web Merchants Inc.". Inside, there was plenty of recycled (brown) paper used as a cushion to keep the toy from shifting during transport. The dildo itself was in a clear (sealed) plastic bag, and nothing else. This packaging cannot be discreetly used as a gift, and it cannot be considered a good form of storage, as you need to tear/cut open the bag. Re-using it is out of the question.

It seems that during transport, the paper had pressed into the balls (and other spots) really hard, so they left permanent (shallow) creases all over. These cannot be felt during use, but they're visible and don't go away. I worry that if I take this toy somewhere with me, or if the other items in my toybox shift, there will be more of these over time. This could easily have been solved if the toy came either with a box or a high-quality storage pouch.

I suffer from anorgasmia - that is, I struggle to orgasm by default, but it's possible. I cannot orgasm with this toy alone, as I need plenty of clitoral stimulation. LELO's Sonadid well with Radiance in that regard.

Orgasms with this toy are a hit-or-miss; it's much easier to climax (for me) with a lot of lube and thrusting this toy in/out as far as possible so that I can feel both the head and the shaft moving.
