The G vac-u-lock - dildo discontinued by Doc Johnson - review by Faydreh

The Unveiling - Boy, was I surprised when I was expecting a reasonably small box with this toy in it! This arrived in a cardboard box that was about two feet long. Upon opening it I saw clear plastic packaging that was also fairly sizable (roughly 6"x18" though not very thick). I wouldn't suggest keeping your toy in it when not in use due to just how bulky it is. There is some fairly detailed text describing The G in regards to the material it's made out of. It is not discreet at all. Upon getting my hands on him, it has a nice smooth surface, no noticeable flaws, with a faint sweet scent to it, even after washing. I think I've detected this same hint of sweetness if I lick it too. As with many other toys from Doc Johnson, this beauty is good quality silicone, so no itty bitty pores that can hold bacteria. To clean him you can use a toy cleaner, pop it in the dishwasher with soap, or drop it in some boiling water for a few minutes before carefully removing it (don't want to burn your hands, after all). I tend to stash my various dildos in clean, worn out socks. They won't get scratched, silicone can't touch other silicone, and it's not overly bulky. It certainly isn't the prettiest way to store your sex toys, but it works for me. ;)

The Specifics - "Standing" at seven inches long from tip to bottom of the base, this is not a small dildo. He has six and a half inches of insert-able length; five and a third inches roughly in girth on the thickest part of the bulges; four and a half inches in circumference on the rest of the shaft. Don't be intimidated, though! The G has a lovely smooth surface that plays beautifully with any type of lube except for silicone based. In addition, the tip lacks a head of any sort. Just a smooth rounded tip that leads into the shaft for a few inches before the first bulge, narrowing, then flowing into another bulge, and a brief length of shaft before flattening and flaring into the base. This specialty base makes it compatible for Doc Johnson's vac-u-lock harness system or a more standard o-ring harness. I've found that for solo play the base gives you something steady to hold on to, in case the toy or your hands are slick from slippery lube and/or bodily fluids. This toy is a fairly firm silicone without being overly rigid. It's very easy to insert and maneuver. I was very pleased with the gorgeous pearly, almost opalescent coloring of the silicone, especially since it matched a butt plug I already have from Doc Johnson.

The Experience. Also, Playtime - After warming myself up with some smut, I was finally ready to test this big guy out and let me tell you... He is a silky, satisfying ride. Even as a lady who enjoys some bigger toys, the bulges on The G were fairly noticeable for me. Not in an unpleasant way either, but the seemingly small scale girth difference between the shaft and the bulges was definitely felt. Whether used vaginally or anally (thanks to the lovely flared base) this dildo is sure to please. Though I'm thus far unable to really stimulate my g-spot on my own, the bumps along its length do add a special something to him. I do wish I was able to make him compress/squish a bit by tightening muscles around him as that's a sensation I particularly enjoy, but that's almost the only drawback I can think of. My only other (very minor) peeve is that the lettering along the base that says Doc Johnson is etched into the silicone, so if just using your hands, soap, and water it's not easy to clean that small section of it out. Otherwise, The G is a beautiful and delightfully functional toy that I highly recommend!

Absolutely my favorite dildo/strap-on toy ever. Super sleek, hygienic and multifunctional. It matches a butt plug that is also available from Doc Johnson too! Extremely comfortable, easy to use, and all around outstanding.
