Silicone realistic dildo with balls and suction cup
by

A stud indeed!

The Dual Density Stud is a fantastic dildo that should please a wide variety of users. Its amazingly life-like material and texture and its ideal size all feel incredible to use. Add to that the fact that it doesn't seem to attract pet hair the way most of my silicone toys do, and I'm absolutely in love!

Use

I absolutely adore dual density silicone dildos. This is the third I've purchased, and I got it to be a sort of intermediate size between the two I already had (Eden's Dual Density Silicone Dildo and its big brother, the Dual Layer Indulger). I'm so glad I added it to my collection, as it's now one of my favourite unpowered toys, along with the Dual Layer Indulger and a couple of my glass toys.

This is a perfect "general use" dildo. It can be used vaginally or anally and would work well with both male and female anatomies. It has a very strong suction cup that will suction securely to most flat surfaces (even lightly-textured surfaces like walls and wood chairs), and the suction cup and balls make it anal-safe, as they prevent the dildo from getting sucked up your butt. Those balls and suction cup should also make it compatible with most O-ring style harnesses.

It is, in my opinion, an ideal size. It's large enough to feel filling and satisfying without being so large that it's painful or uncomfortable. (Though for the record, I've only used it vaginally; it's too large for me personally for anal.) It has no electronics, so you can use it in the water worry-free, and the only noise you have to worry about are the sounds coming out of your own mouth. It is, however, a bit on the large side for travel, and it looks like a big, squishy, realistic cock, so if someone saw it in your luggage, they'd have no questions about its intended use. But if you're not easily embarrassed and have the space for it, it would be fine to travel with.

The Dual Density Stud is just an all-around fantastic dildo that should work great for a wide variety of users.

Material / Texture

The material and overall design of this dildo is one of the best things about it. If you've never experienced dual density silicone, you're missing out. It's by far the most lifelike sex toy material I've ever tried (though for the record, I've never tried any of the skin-like materials like CyberSkin; I don't like how porous those materials are). It has a very squishy outer layer, with a firmer (but still flexible) inner core that gives it some structural integrity and keeps the dildo from being too floppy to be functional. This squishy outer layer and firmer core give a feeling that's remarkably close to a real penis, both when you're feeling it in your hands and when you're using it.

When I first pulled the Stud out of its shipping bag, I was amazed by how smooth and skin-like the finish was. This dildo seems to have a slightly different finish to it than my other dual density toys. It has even less drag, and doesn't seem to attract lint and hair the way the others do, which is awesome. It had a faint "new silicone" smell to it when I first removed it from the packaging, but as with most silicone toys, that faint odor has faded to virtually nothing after several washes.

The texture is quite realistic in both look and feel, complete with a nicely defined head and realistic veins. I feel the coronal ridge on the head quite strongly when I'm using it (feels amazing when thrusting across my G-spot), and I can feel the veins somewhat faintly. It feels almost like the real thing. If you're looking for a dildo to provide lifelike sensations, this one would be an excellent choice.

Design / Shape / Size

The size of this dildo is just about perfect. My measurements were a little different than what's listed on the product page. I measured about a 5-inch circumference and about 6 1/2 inches in length. This gives it the same circumference as my Dual Layer Indulger, but it's slightly shorter. I honestly prefer the shorter length. I seem to have a short vagina, and can't seem to accommodate much more than 6 inches in length. As much as I love the Indulger, the extra un-insertable length does sometimes make it a little awkward to thrust and maneuver during use. The Stud doesn't have that problem. Since I'm able to take nearly the whole shaft, that leaves less "extra" sticking outside of my body to be bumping the bed or getting caught on my sex towel while I'm thrusting it. I had expected the Stud to be slightly smaller in girth than it turned out to be, but that's all right. A 5-inch circumference seems to be about the upper limit of what I'm able to use comfortably, so it's the perfect "big toy" size for me (though I'm aware many people wouldn't consider it big at all).

The shape and overall design of this dildo is wonderful. It's just a good, basic, straight-forward realistic design that feels great. Even though it's more similar in size to my Indulger than I'd initially planned, I'm still very glad I have both in my collection. Each dildo has a slightly different shape that provides different sensations. The shaft on the Indulger sort of bulges out right below the head, while the Stud has a consistent circumference throughout the length of the shaft. Even though the differences are somewhat subtle, each shape provides different sensations, so it's nice to have both options. I'm not sure that I really prefer one over the other.

One thing I prefer on the Stud over the Indulger is the balls. The balls on the Indulger aren't very realistic and look a little silly, in my personal opinion. The balls on the Stud look and feel much more realistic, and they're rounder and more substantial and make a better handle for thrusting. They're also just squishy and fun to squeeze, haha. I also prefer the colour of the Stud over that of the Indulger and feel it's more realistic....although that's really not that important.

Performance

The Stud performs just as a dildo should. It holds up well even to rigorous thrusting, and because of the squishiness and softness of the material, I've never had any issues with it hitting my cervix uncomfortably. The suction cup performs beautifully and holds fast to every surface I've tried it on to date (including surfaces with a little texture, like my bedroom walls and a wooden chair). I haven't tried it in a harness, so I can't say for sure how it would perform there, but I see no reason why it wouldn't work great as a strap-on. It is a little floppy when held horizontally by the suction cup, but with a hand to steady it for initial insertion, it should work just fine for harness use.

Care and Maintenance

One of the best things about silicone toys is how easy they are to clean and care for. Like all silicone toys, the Dual Density Stud should be washed with either toy cleaner or a mild soap and warm water. If you feel the need to sterilise it (like if sharing between partners or orifices), you can boil it, run it through the dishwasher (top rack with no detergent), or wash it with a 5-10% bleach solution or rubbing alcohol. Silicone is non-porous, so it won't harbour any nasty bacteria, and the material is also hypoallergenic, latex-free and pthalates-free. The only real quirk about silicone when it comes to caring for it is that you should stick to using only water-based lube with it. Avoid oil and silicone-based lubricants, as they can degrade the material. For storage, I just put it in a ziplock baggie and toss it in my toy box.

With proper care, the Stud should last for years and years.

Packaging

The Stud arrived in a simple sealed plastic bag. As always, I appreciated Eden's lack of bulky, wasteful packaging.

Personal comments

This is just a really wonderful dildo! I personally love pairing it with a clit vibe like Smoother, Fondler, or Vita.
