Cute, Nice and Basic

As a dildo with a base, it is suited for harnesses and for anal play, but I have never used it in either of those two ways because I don't use harnesses and because I am not ready to try anything anally of this size.

Instead, I have used Boy 1 for vaginal insertion only, in three ways: in solo play and in partner play for the warm up before sex, and for after-sex play. For all three of these uses, I have found Boy 1 to be a very good toy, not an absolute favorite, but rather a dependable basic toy with many good characteristics. It is good for both thrusting and internal vaginal massage (rocked back and forth or wiggled).

Since it is very safe 100% silicone and of a modest size for a dildo and has a flared base, I do not think there are any safety precautions beyond making sure it is sterilized and/or you use a condom if switching between vaginal and anal or if sharing between partners.

This is one of a number of new dildos I got when I developed a latex sensitivity and had to throw out all my latex dildos, and like all my 100% silicone toys, I am very pleased with the material as it is non-irritating to me and very easy to wash completely clean.

I have the purple model, and while mine is not as pretty as the example photo here (the swirls and patterns of slightly lighter purple and slightly darker purple obviously vary from one Boy 1 to the next) it is still one of the prettier dildos I own. The tone of the purple is one I consider very attractive, and the muted sheen (if you look very closely, there are exceptionally tiny particles of some kind of glitter embedded in it) and randomized patterns certainly catch my eye.

The texture is mostly smooth but a little matte. It isn't shiny, and it creates a slight drag if I run my finger across it. The random swirls are very easy for the eye to mistake for texture. When examining my Boy 1, I had to touch a bunch of places on it to figure out that there was no veining or ripples. There is no seam. It is excellently made in one piece, except that on mine there are a few shallow pits (mistakes from the molding process, I assume) near the base of the shaft. On mine these are not deep enough to collect lubricant or to become a cleaning issue, and if they are a mistake yours might not have them.

When picked up, Boy 1 feels fairly firm and solid, not too heavy but not lightweight either. When squeezing its diameter as hard as I can with my fingers, I can see and feel it compress just a bit. There is not much give to it as far as compression of the material goes. When I hold it by the base with one hand and touch the tip with the other hand, I can readily bend it (even when just using one finger) up or down or sideways about an inch before the resistance to being bent further becomes very strong.

Taste is barely there and it is slightly "plastic" in taste. The smell is also barely there, and it reminds me a bit of "new car" smell. You really have to get your nose right on it to smell it at all. I have been storing it with other toys and clothing, so I suppose it is possible that it picked up what little taste/smell it has from other objects.

Except for the fluting that outlines the semi-realistic penis head at the end, everything insertable is smooth, without ridges or bumps of any kind. If you don't like ridges and bumps, or if you're just not in the mood for them at the time, then Boy 1 is excellent in that regard.

Boy 1 is curved upward just slightly in a G-spot-seeking shape. The slightness of the curve and the lengthwise flexibility mean that this is a difficult dildo to use for strong G-spot stimulation. Boy 1 does a little for the G-spot, enough to make the vagina feel nicer than it would with a completely straight dildo, but I can't imagine that it would be easy to create a G-spot orgasm with this unless you're the sort who has extremely easy G-spot orgasms anyway.

The flared base is not something that I have used for a harness or for anal play, so I can't say how it performs for either of those uses. However, I have used the flared base for two things. One thing I have used it for is during partner play, for making sure a clumsy partner cannot thrust Boy 1 in too far and hurt me (a problem I've had with other dildos). In this regard, I really like Boy 1. It works very well with my anatomy. Two, I use the flared base in solo play as a handle to hold on to. I hold it in such a way that my fingers and thumb are spread at roughly even intervals around the circumference of the flared base, and I find this to be a good way to keep my grip on it and also to easily change the angle slightly, in any direction I wish, by moving even just one finger.

The size is one of the best aspects of Boy 1. Boy 1 is a little smaller in girth than most dildos I've encountered, and it tapers slightly towards the end. This means that insertion is generally easy, and it's a perfect warm-up toy before putting an actual penis in. If you're an absolute beginner to vaginal penetration, you might find that you need something even more slender than Boy 1 for this kind of warm-up play, but I think most people who are used to vaginal penetration will not need anything more slender.

As to travel, this is slender but not a small toy, and despite being slightly abstract it is quite obviously in the shape of a penis, so I do not think it would be discreet if airport personnel went through your suitcase or if you forgot and left it out.

As to sounds, a little squelchy but nothing very loud. If you were hiding under the covers, a roommate in the same room might realize what you were doing, but they also might not.

Boy 1 is not the best for G-spot stimulation, and I have no idea how it performs for harness play or anal play, but for vaginal penetration (either solo or with a partner manipulating it by hand) I find that it's a basic, satisfying, dependable toy that I often use. Not my favorite dildo, but Boy 1 still does what I want from it very well.

Because it is slender, I often use it at first to warm myself up and get myself ready for either a girthier dildo or for a penis. Its slender diameter and the shape of the tip of the head cause it to slip into my vagina easily. Boy 1 has a shape that seems to seek out the entrance to my vagina when placed between my labia lips, so if I'm not paying attention or if my partner is being clumsy, it still tends to work.

The flared base and its length work together to make sure that it cannot bruise my cervix, so that my partner can become aggressive with the thrusting without hurting me. I cannot say if this will work for everyone. Perhaps if your vagina is shorter it won't work this way for you, but Boy 1 seems perfectly designed for my anatomy.

Although I do often reach for it, and it makes me wet quickly and comfortably, I don't always keep it through to the end of the masturbation session, simply because I usually want to go for something with a wider diameter after getting my vagina slick and opened with the actions of Boy 1. However, Boy 1 is just at the right diameter where I sometimes finish with it. It isn't too slender for continuing with, and on days when I'm tighter down there I may keep it to the end of a session.

In addition to foreplay use and masturbation, I also use Boy 1 a little for after-play (but not as much as some other toys). If I want a little more after sex, I use it for masturbation with some partner assistance. I sometimes just want vaginal sensations for a little longer, or I want an orgasm (in which case I need something on my clitoris too, as Boy 1 doesn't do the job alone for me) and the gentle vaginal stimulation of Boy 1, without any stretching or discomfort as can sometimes happen with wider toys, is sometimes exactly what I want.

I've found Boy 1 to be easy to care for, like most of my silicone toys. I clean it using my favorite liquid soap, making sure to suds it well. The small pits mine has near the base, that I think are manufacturing defects that may not be on yours, do not collect lubricant or juices, so I have never had a problem getting it fully clean. It stands upright on its base, so I leave it that way to dry and then put it away in the cloth bag I have for it. This cloth bag does NOT come with it. I bought my own cloth bag separately.

If I am in a hurry or need to hide it away, I sometimes put it away into its cloth bag before it is dry, and the only consequence this has is that it collects more lint that way.

I have never boiled it, but I am glad that this is an option with 100% silicone toys.

It is a lint magnet, even if I put it away dry, but everything silicone I have is also a lint magnet. I find that if enough lint has gotten on it, to simply rinse it away with water before insertion.

I know that I am only supposed to use water-based lube on silicone, and I always have. I've never had any problems with lube.

The packaging it came in was see through and flimsy, not the kind of container you can store Boy 1 in repeatedly, and certainly not if you leave it out. It might be usable as a gift box if wrapped, but it is not sturdy enough to last long.

I ended up buying a zippered, padded cloth bag from another company altogether to store it in. This is a necessity because I have other silicone toys, and silicone toys that touch each other can have reactions or partially melt together.

Instructions were minimal. The only piece of paper included looked more as if it were meant to evoke a certain attitude and be mildly humorous than to be very instructive. However, I don't consider this to be a big issue because Boy 1 is the type of item that is fairly self-explanatory.

I think Boy 1 would be a good dildo for beginners to vaginal penetration. Boy 1 is something that is not too intimidating for most first-time users, yet it is still thick enough in diameter that it would not suddenly become useless after that initial self-exploring phase is over. I did not get Boy 1 as a beginner, so I cannot say for sure from personal experience, but I believe this would be the case.
