If you’ve ever dropped your dildo in the dark, you will totally get this. I am forever losing things, especially in the heat of the moment, and trust me, this comes in handy. Let me begin at the box. It is classy and well packaged…hell, I still use mine for storage. It comes with five multicolored glow sticks (you know, the ones you get that you make into bracelets at theme parks and the fairs?).

The Glo Smooth measures in at just under (I mean, barely) 1.5 inches thick at the widest point and is about 7 inches long. The size makes it versatile enough for just about anyone to enjoy. It is slim enough to not be too overwhelming to someone new to sex toys, but has enough girth for those who have experience and prefer a wider toy. It is an opaque milky color that allows the glow sticks within to shine brilliantly.

There are no special ridges or spirals, just a smooth dildo for pleasure. It is surprisingly flexible. I wasn't expecting something so easy to bend. The only area that doesn't bend well is the tip. The added stiffness there does allow for some g-spot stimulation, just, not much. There is a small seam, but it is not felt during use. The rounded tip makes for very comfortable insertion. There are no points or whatever to poke you in the cervix, and that is just awesome. The Glo is also solid silicone,meaning that it is boilable, bleachable, and dishwasher safe.

The glow sticks are single use and last between 5-7 hours on average. They glow brilliantly through the dildo, giving off plenty of light. The light is good for more than just aesthetic purposes. It is great for oral sex in the dark, while your partner performs oral the dildo can be used to help with needed light, and for thrusting. It also makes you look better, you know, like candle light would do. Kickass!!! Seriously, this (<----) is totally a reason on its own to have this!...Back to the glow sticks. They are inserted into the cap from the base of the Glo (it has a small hole to hold the stick in place). After breaking the stick and shaking it to activate it, just pop it in and you're ready to roll. *You can even get more glow sticks at your local party store*

Two huge things I feel compelled to point out (always, right?) are the lack of a flared base and the silicone material. First, no flared base makes this a less than safe option for anal play, please look into anal toys made for that use. Second, the Silicone make up means that only a water based lubricant should be used with your Glo.

Finally, as for the actual performance of the glowing dildo, I was impressed. It is smooth, and soft with enough give to allow for an amazing orgasm around the toy. There is enough flexibility for g-spot use (although, this isn't a g-spot toy so you may miss the mark here), and it is small enough that new toy users will not be intimidated. The silicone has held up well, and even the little bottom piece made it through the dishwasher safely. The tapering in the center adds some extra feeling as your body glides over the toy. I would recommend this to anyone, even as a gift.

I did have some issues with hard and fast thrusting due to the lack of anything defined to hold onto at the base. And a note that lubricant will make this baby slippery as all get out, so be careful not to overdo the lubricant.

I will say this about me, I lose shit. I mean everything. I found a ben wa ball under the bed once...see what I mean? So when I set the dildo down in the dark I was fully prepared to have to turn on the lights. I could see it across the room because of the amount of light it gives off.
