Long John - thrusting vibrator by EdenFantasys - review by Cindi025

My review today is on the "Long John" vibrator. When I first received my new toy and pulled it out of the shipping box, I was a bit overwhelmed. My first thoughts were oh my it's huge! It came in a simple plastic bag with no instructions which I could have used for this product. I proceeded to take the toy out of the bag, and the first thing I noticed was the material. The material on this product is thermoplastic rubber; it reminded me of a jelly toy. This was a bit of a disappointment for I hate jelly toys, I almost always tend to get silicone when I am purchasing toys, for a free assignment though I really couldn't complain. Talking about the material it isn't the safest out there but it does have some good things about it including being hypo-allergenic, latex free and phthalates free. It is rated a 7 on material safety so not too bad. On a downside, it can attract dust easily and will constantly need to be cleaned with either silicone or water-based lubes. If you prefer you can also go the easier and cheaper route of soap and water. This item cannot be boiled or put in a dishwasher. With that in mind, refrain from using in water sports such as swimming or tub play.


Describing this toy, well as stated earlier, it is quite large. It measures approximately 10 1/2 inches long. It is black and veined to look more like a penis. It does come with a control pad at the base which will be confusing when first using it. I find most toys have a power button, this one does not. The power button icon on this toy is all the way at the bottom and looks like wavy lines; this button also allows you to cycle through the 7 vibration patterns. This vibrator also has a thrusting capability. Being the first of my many toys to have this capability I was excited to try that feature out. The thrusting comes in 3 speeds. The button for thrusting looks like 2 up and down arrows and is located in the middle of the control pad. Lastly, you have 2 separate buttons on the top of the control panel (or bottom depending on how you are looking at it), that allows you to change the speed of the thrusting. Those are an up and down arrow, up increased the speed and down lowers.

This vibrator sadly is not rechargeable and does require 3 AA size batteries. As I stated earlier instructions would have been nice for figuring out how to get in the batteries and close it took a while. My tip on that is after you open the toy slide out the battery container then slide it back in the toy. Once in a look on the toy for the 2 notches on the toy and line up the top with the holes push down and then turn to close. I didn't see the notches and kept trying and was afraid I was going to break the toy. I do not recommend traveling with this toy unless it's in an overnight bag, and you are traveling by car. Being that luggage gets thrown around a lot the toy might get damaged, and cargo holds in airplanes do get extremely hot and could possibly melt the toy.

For safety as stated earlier, this toy is not silicone and it is porous. Bacteria will grow if you do not keep the toy clean. This material should never be shared with multiple people. A condom can be put on the toy for added safety, but it isn't required. Always keep this toy clean and store in a bag that is lint free. Wash after use and just before use.

I have mixed feelings on this toy. I love the size; most toys are just way too small; the size of this toy is perfect for me. I love the thrusting feature, but I wish it thrust a little further. The material well, I'm not a fan again it isn't silicone, so it doesn't have the smooth feeling I am used to. Overall I would give this a 4/5 only thing I feel would make it better would be to change the material to silicone and make it rechargeable. I did like the vibrations; they were fairly strong.
