Ringed dong - strap-on dildo by Doc Johnson - review by bunky

The Sil-a-Gel material, making it non-toxic, anti-bacterial, and cadmium and latex free was the original (and only) selling point for me. I was looking for something safe to use with my wife, who is sensitive and allergic to many things. But in the end, it wasn't enough - after using this toy, she got an unpleasant burning sensation from the plastic.

The Radiant Gems Ringed SilaGel Dong has since been retired as a vaginal use toy and is now an anal-only, condom-mandatory use toy. Even then, it is only used as a "plug" and not as an "in-out" friction-use dildo. This is because the base has the same circumference as the rest of the shaft. Because of this, it's good to push in, but more difficult to retrieve - thus better left in, as a "plug" until you are done playing. Truthfully, because it is so flexible and has the ribbed texture, it makes for a comfortable anal toy, especially when used with a separate dildo for vaginal use. Personally, I enjoyed using this dildo as a "plug" as it creates an extra "tight" sensation when using another dildo vaginally.

It boggles the mind that the Radiant Gems Ringed SilaGel Dong is on the top 100 list for strap on dildos, as I bought this toy knowing that it could never be used with a harness. It does nothing it advertises and yet people still buy it, possibly expecting that theirs will be the one that is properly scented or theirs is the one which will not pop out of a harness O-ring, or theirs will be the one which will not discolor. Save your time and money. Your chances of enjoying what this product officially offers in its description and promotion is equal to the likelihood of you winning the lottery. That is to say, whatever it promises it is - it clearly is not.

Keep in mind that cleaning your toy is still very important and the "antibacterial non-toxic formula that is latex free and cadmium free" is no exception, just difficult. Sure, you can wash or boil it, but then you have to let the Radiant Gems Ringed Dong air dry, because the materials and chemical composition previously mentioned, easily collects dust. Using a towel to dry the Radiant Gems SilaGel Dong will only lead to having fabric lint stick to the toy, and thus need to be cleaned again. And say you do wash and let it air dry (without it becoming top heavy and falling on the floor, for you to wash again), you then have to store it in a metal case. It cannot go into a fabric slip cover (as most of my other toys do), because when you pull it out, all the dust in the fabric or fabric fibers themselves attach to the dildo. It also cannot go into a leather pouch or impact any leather/suede toys, as this will discolor the Ringed Dong.

For the quality promised but not delivered and therefore general uselessness of this product, I do not recommend it.
