The Rascal by Tantus is a powerhouse of sensations. It’s firm and thick to really make you feel full and stretched tight. The shaft is covered in raised coiled ribs that are defined enough to feel every one as it slides in and out. If that’s not enough, it comes with a bullet to insert into the base to make the whole thing buzz. This toy had me writhing in seconds and kept me coming.

The specifics: the Rascal is 100% silicone, making it non-porous, phthalates-free, and hypo-allergenic. It’s a very firm silicone that while it still has some give and some bounce, it isn’t bendable. It can be cleaned with soap and water, and sterilized by running it through the dishwasher (top rack, no soap), wiping it down with a 10% bleach solution (followed by a good rinse), or boiling it (about 3 minutes). Be sure to use a condom or sterilize this toy when sharing between partners or between orifices. Even with the ribbing, I found this toy very easy to clean as the smooth and firm surface of the silicone didn’t hold onto fluids.

Make sure you get a good look at the actual size view on this one. While this is by no means the thickest cock on the site (diameter of 1 ¾” ) the blunt, rounded head and texture on this one makes it not the best toy for people who are new to insertion. That said, it was not difficult to insert for me once I got myself slick (water-based lube only with this one) and prepped with a smaller toy. The thick head is not textured, so the smooth silicone glides in. It’s just that first ridge you’ve got to work through.

This is not a long toy, which I would expect would be what most people view as a con. It’s 5 inches insertable, but for me that’s perfect. I have a very sensitive cervix and find that I can only use the first 4-5 inches of my toys without discomfort. So a dildo like the Rascal, that I can thrust without worrying that I’ll go too deep, is just what I’ve been looking for. I even found this toy was not too short for use in a harness, although not surprisingly, when strapped-on, the Rascal can’t achieve deep penetration or give you a lot of length to be able to pull back and thrust in without slipping out.

Despite being shorter, the curve and girth of the toy gave me incredible g-spot stimulation mostly in part because of the thick girth and the ribbing. The texture was likely my favorite part of this toy. The ribs where raised enough that each one felt like that nice popping feel you get with dildos with pronounced heads. That continual popping made my g-spot hum like I was using a vibe. Drove me crazy.

The one thing I was not very impressed with was the bullet. It’s a cheap looking silver bullet vibe that runs on 3 watch batteries. The product page claims the vibe pulsates but mine only turned on and off—no function setting. I switched the batteries around to face the other way in case I had put them in wrong, but I can’t get the bullet to do anything but a normal buzz. It’s also picky on when it’s going to turn on or if I have to shake it to get it to work, so mine might be defective. When inserted into the hole at the base (a little lube on the inserted end will make your life much easier when trying to get it back out) the vibrations do carry throughout the toy but are very weak. Nothing that could get me off, but they’re a nice addition. The vroom rating above is for while in the toy; on its own I’d give the 3 vrooms.

The hole at the base meant to hold the bullet does make for extremely easy handling of this toy. But the vibe was really the only downside I had with this toy.

In practice, the Rascal was a very different feeling dildo than those I was use to. Because it’s so short but so girthy, nearly all the sensation is centered around the entrance of my cunt and my g-spot—my two most sensitive areas internally. The sensation was almost overwhelming but in a way that I never wanted to stop. As far as I’m concerned, it doesn’t need the bullet—it’s a great toy on its own.
