Mercedez's multi blue wand - glass dildo discontinued by Phallix - review by Tuesday

The pretty, easy to manipulate glass wand, Mercedez, is an artwork and a toy all in one.

It's six inches long. The head is slightly more than four inches in circumference. The shaft is smooth with a three and a quarter inches in circumference. The handle has a circumference of four and three eights inches.

There is a label near the handle with Phallix's logo. It is removable, but doesn't present any problems if left in place.

The head has swirls of white and navy blue color spiraling around it. On mine, the swirls are much thicker than what is depicted on this site. The look of the swirls, as well as the shape and size of the head and handle, no doubt varies from toy to toy since they are hand blown individually. The swirls almost can't be felt as you run your fingers over them. They give only the merest sliver of extra girth.

If you're not a fan of texture the Mercedez will give you the smooth, hard experience you're looking for.

The sensations it produces aren't quite as intense as the the clear ribbed G-spot wonder. I believe this has more to do with the size of the head than the fact that it isn't curved. Since glass is an unyielding material, its easy to achieve as much G-spot pressure as desired, even with a toy with a straight shaft. I only wish that Mercedez's head were just a little bigger. I think the experience of using her would be better not just from the extra size but because there would be a larger ridge to stroke your G-spot. I believe that what makes the clear ribbed G-spot wonder so effective is the perfection in the size of that ridge, at least with my particular wonder.

It can be helpful that this isn't a long toy. I like to sit up as much as possible when using toys in bed. With longer toys I often have to scoot down more than I like to avoid having the toy hit the bed during use. This isn't as much of a problem with the Mercedez.

While the bulbed end is intended to be used as a handle, and in fact works quite well in that capacity, the large end feels very good inside. So this is actually a double ended toy. The head doesn't however make nearly as good a handle when you're inserting the larger end. There's relatively less to hold on to.

The Mercedez is made from medical grade borosilicate glass (pyrex) and is therefore break resistant, non-porous, non-toxic, lead-free and easy care. Just wash with soap and water, then towel dry. It can be sanitized with a 10% bleach solution or by boiling. The Mercedez is also dishwasher safe.

It has unimposing dimensions so you probably won't need lube with it, but if you do, any lube is safe to use.

Glass can be safely heated or cooled so if you like experimenting with heat or cold you can put in the refrigerator, in ice water or in a bowl of warm water before use. I find that it feels good to warm it before use, but be careful. Glass holds heat well, so you can heat it to an uncomfortable temperature if you're not careful.

The Mercedez comes with a beautiful, luxurious red velvet pouch made from two layers of plush velvet. The new Phallix pouch design gives a nice level of protection without adding extra bulk. It also has a drawstring and a plastic slider to hold it closed, much like that found on the drawstring on the hood of ski jackets.
