Mantric Sysil edge - double ended dildo discontinued by Mantric - review by ToyTimeTim

I have been trying to get the wife to peg me since I first started on my road to prostate bliss. She does not care to wear a harness so I figured one of the double ended offerings would be just the thing. After much looking and reading reviews, she chose the Mantric Sysil.

Unfortunately, she has not had the opportunity to test it out; life has a way of getting in the way. We have had it for over two months and we have just not found a good time to try it out together. As sad as I am about this situation, I have no doubt that the day will come when she can use this wonderful toy on me.

As such, this review will be based on my use of it. But first, the technical stuff.

The Mantric Sysil Edge is a slightly different take on the double ended dildo. What makes it unique is the adjustable angle that the toy can be put in. There is a 'plate' that can be removed so that the angle can be put into three different positions or be removed for a free floating type set up. This allows the user to adjust for different positions. Going for a missionary position, adjust the angle up. Doing some doggie style, adjust it down. This will allow the user to zero in on the area that they want to stimulate.

It also comes with a small bullet vibe to provide some added stimulation. This fits in the long shaft portion and can mostly be felt there. The vibration does transfer to the wearers portion but it does lose some of its strength. The good part though, is that it is positioned to stimulate the clitoris when worn by a woman or the perineum when worn by a man. The vibes are not that strong and the batteries do not last very long. During my first use they died after about 20 min.. It does come with three sets though, so that will help. The bullet is a standard sized 5/8" diameter, so you can always use a different one. The High Intensity bullet fits great and gives you three speeds.

This toy comes in two different colors to chose from; purple and lavender or pink and Fuchsia, I chose the purple. I would love some different color options. The Mantric is made from super safe Silicone. What does this mean? Well, it is; Latex and Phthalates free, non-porous, hypo-allergenic and made from food-grade material. Really, this is the best of the soft materials you can use. Furthermore, it can be sanitized any number of ways. You can boil it, bleach it with a 10% solution, use a antibacterial soap & water or a toy specific cleaner. This means that you can share between partners/orifices with proper sanitizing in between.

A nice feature of this toy, which by the way is required, is that it can be taken apart for cleaning. Simply take the plate out and the wearers section can be removed. This does make cleaning a bit harder to throughly clean, you may want to use a old tooth brush or something similar to get inside the pocket were the wearers section goes and the bullet's hole. The bullet holder has a small hole on the top side that removes the suction created when trying to remove. You can push it out with ease due to the thinner silicone in this area. I do not think it is water proof so remove it before cleaning.

This silicone is on the firmer side which helps during insertion and in directing the toy to the area of your choice. It also can helps with holding it in (for the wearer). It has a matte finish, I find this works best for holding onto the lube. Use only oil or water based lubes with silicone, silicone based lubes can adhere to it or possibly damage the material.

The 1 3/8" diameter, 9" long shaft (5 1/2" insertable) does not have a phallic shape, but rather has raised 'waves' molded into it. While this helps provide some stimulation, it is not the best for massaging the prostate. It does feel nice on the anus and could be pleasurable for vaginal use as well. The wearers portion is shaped like a lot of the prostate toys you will find. It is 1 3/8" diameter and has 4" of insertable length. It stays in great when I use it but I am not to sure it will for the wife. To me, the bulge is not enough to keep it in the vagina without some killer PC muscles, I hope I am wrong.

My only complaint about the toy, it has the dreaded seam. This immediately brings down the toys quality in my mind. Why cant they trim it at the factory, why don't they spend a bit more on the mold? When I spend this kind of money on a toy, I expect a better finish, not to have to get a razor blade to fix it. ARGH! I will say that it can not be felt during use, but still, to me it just makes it look cheap.

I find the wearers section works good for a handle during solo use, I did not have to reach as far to manipulate it. Although, I did find that the locking plate did not hold all that well. The long shaft was nice to use but not the greatest.

I much preferred to wear it anally and thrust into my Fleshlight or other stroker. This felt awesome and provided some great prostate stimulation and quite a bit of milking. While dong this, I thought, "How about some toy double penetration?" I mean, my penis is just sitting there doing nothing, so why not. Out came another stroker. I used the Fleshlight wedged into the couch cushions and the stroker on top. WOW just WOW was that a ton of stimulation. The climax was incredible, the combination of penis and prostate stimulation coupled with the visual of pounding two orifices at once was phenomenal. I have plans to use it this way on the wife, the toy inserted in the wife and my penis rubbing her clit. I cant wait to try that!

Something else that was fun was to stroke the toy with one hand and my penis with the other. Just moving the insertable section in a rocking type motion provides great stimulation to the prostate and feels great.

I will be writing about the use of this toy with the wife in the follow up. Until then I can not comment on how it would work for pegging type play. You may want to read some of the other reviews for that info. I will say that I am enjoying using it for solo play and it stays in well anally. In that type of use it would get five stars if not for the seam. So, a solid four stars form me.
