The Platinum Treasure by Doc Johnson is a premium silicone dual stimulation, or rabbit style, vibrator. It is designed to be inserted vaginally and to provide stimulation to both the g-spot and the clitoris at the same time. The Treasure can also be used externally to tease erogenous zones of partners of any gender. The size, shape, and position of the clitoral stimulator also would allow this toy to be inserted anally. Be sure to use a condom or to sanitize it thoroughly before using it vaginally again.

Two AAA batteries power the removable bullet, which can be used separately on the clitoris, nipples, testicles, penis, or any place that is craving a little extra attention. The bullet can easily be used during intercourse or with a penetrative toy to provide clitoral stimulation.

There are two pieces that come with the Treasure: a bullet, and the sleeve the bullet fits into. The included bullet is made of silver colored ABS plastic, which has a material safety rating of 8. This bullet is completely smooth and has no odor.

The sleeve the bullet fits into is made of silicone, which has a material safety rating of 10. Doc Johnson has also added their patented Sil-A-Gel antibacterial compound to the silicone of this toy. This additive gives the toy a slight smell when held up to the nose; the odor is unaffected by washing. The "SIL" in Sil-A-Gel stands for “Safe Ingredient List”, because the compound is made from ingredients the FDA has deemed safe. The silicone this is made of is extremely shiny and tacky to the touch. It collects any lint, fuzz, or hair that is floating around and will need rinsed before using. One side of the silicone sleeve is smooth, except for the Doc Johnson logo embossed on the back, and has no seams. The other side of the shaft is covered in ridges. These ridges are fairly firm but do have some give to them. The ridges give the toy a very intense texture.

*Bullet
The bullet included in this set is very basic in design. It measures 5” total length and is 2” in circumference (0.6” in diameter). It has a small plastic tray that slides out to house the batteries, and closes with a screw on bottom. As long as the bottom is tightly screwed on, the bullet is completely waterproof.

A small paper lines the inside of the battery compartment, showing proper battery insertion. The paper may be left in or removed at the user’s discretion. Leaving the paper in allows the toy to be just a bit quieter, as the batteries won’t rattle around inside the toy, but also makes inserting and removing the battery tray extremely difficult. Removing the paper makes removing and inserting the battery tray very easy, but does cause the bullet to be a touch louder.

*Silicone Sleeve
The shaft of the silicone sleeve is 6.25” in total length, with 4.5” being insertable. It is 4” in circumference and 1.3” in diameter between the ridges. The ridges make the shaft just a bit thicker, with a 4.2” circumference and 1.3” diameter around the solid silicone head and the ridges. The clitoral stimulator arm is 2” long and 1” in diameter. It curls back down towards the shaft of the toy.

The sleeve has a 0.5” wide and 4.5” deep hole in the center for the bullet. Any bullet that you already have and love with similar dimensions would work. It is best to use a drop of lube, or a few drops of water, on the tip of the bullet before inserting it in the sleeve. Insertion and removal is much easier with some lubrication. If the bullet gets stuck upon removal, stretch one of the sides of the sleeve open and slip a few drops of water, saliva, or lube down the side. The bullet should come out right away.

The silicone sleeve itself is quite flexible, but once the bullet is inserted the shaft becomes rigid. The first 1.5” of the tip of the sleeve are solid silicone, so that section remains somewhat squishy and flexible even after the bullet is inserted.

The Treasure’s bullet is controlled by one push button on the end. The push button is rubbery and very easy to find with your finger and press, even during use. While the Treasure doesn’t have any patterns, it does have three power settings. For comparison purposes, I will use the Je Joue MiMi Generation I clitoral vibrator to describe and standardize the vibrations of the Treasure.

1 – low, steady vibration – 2 vrooms, 2 bees – comparable to MiMi on level 2
2 – medium, steady vibration – 2.5 vrooms, 2.5 bees – comparable to MiMi between levels 2 and 3

The vibrations are focused mainly in the tip of the bullet, and therefore mainly in the tip of the silicone sleeve as well. It does lose a little power when inside the silicone sleeve, but it also muffles some of the noise. The vibrations are buzzy, much like the type that most average bullets provide. One nice thing about the silicone sleeve is that, even though the handle of the bullet can feel a little buzzy in your hand, the silicone sleeve absorbs that so your hand won’t tingle during extended use.

Having a separate bullet and silicone sleeve provides many advantages for cleaning. The silicone sleeve can safely be boiled, bleached with a 10% bleach solution, or washed in the dishwasher’s top rack with no detergent to sanitize it. The bullet can then be sanitized by wiping it with isopropyl or rubbing alcohol. If used anally or shared, the toy should either be wrapped in a condom or toy cover, or thoroughly sanitized after. For everyday clean up a toy wipe, toy cleaner, or simple warm water and soap will do the job.

If used separately, the bullet is compatible with all lubricants. The silicone sleeve is compatible with water- and oil-based lubricants. If you have a silicone-based or hybrid lubricant you feel you must use, be sure to do a small spot test in an inconspicuous place (like the base of the toy) to see if there is a reaction.

The Treasure may be stored with both pieces together or separately in a cool place out of direct sunlight. Suitable storage can be found in a toy pouch, an old sock, a towel, a plastic baggie, or anything else you can think of that will keep the toy protected. If space is not an issue, you may even choose to store your Treasure in its original clamshell packaging. It is best not to store it in direct contact with other toys, especially those made of compound materials such as TPR, TPE, PVC or Jelly. Removing the batteries from the bullet for storage will prolong their life and prevent corrosion.

If you experience a product failure due to a defect in workmanship or materials during the first 30 days, Doc Johnson’s limited 30-day warranty will provide a replacement product for a $15 warranty fee. The Treasure can quickly be registered for this warranty on Doc Johnson’s website.

Rabbit style vibrators are always tricky and very anatomy dependent. One way to try to figure out if a rabbit will work for you before you buy it is to measure the distance between the urethra and the clitoris and then compare that measurement to the toy’s measurements. On this thread in the Eden forums, spacing is discussed. Taking that measurement yourself will help, because you can find another Eden member with similar spacing and then find out which rabbit style toys work for her. The Treasure did not fit my anatomy well. My spacing is about 35-40 mm, and the Treasure is designed for women who are much more closely spaced (less than 20 mm). Its clit arm could reach me if it was inserted all the way, but I found that quite uncomfortable.

I also personally found that the ridges were too much texture for me. I found them quite painful, especially right around the vaginal opening. I do not enjoy much texture on any of my toys. I don’t mind if my toys have some slight veining, or a raised spiral going around them, but this ridging was far too intense and uncomfortable for me. The Treasure will please those who enjoy heavy texture, however.

This toy is virtually silent, especially when inserted, so anyone looking for a discreet toy will appreciate that. However the virtual silence does correlate to less power in this toy. The vibrations in the shaft are extremely mild, almost imperceptible when inserted. The clit stimulator really doesn’t transfer the vibrations well either, so it is even less powerful than the shaft. All in all, this toy will be best for users who are very sensitive to vibrations and prefer using very mild toys. For those who enjoy texture, the ridges will more than make up for the lack of power.

My only real issues with this toy are: it doesn’t have a handle, so I found it difficult to hold onto; the bullet is just your average bullet, and the silver coating on it is already starting to flake off in places; I do not personally like the idea that Doc Johnson added Sil-A-Gel to this silicone toy - I much prefer plain pure silicone.
