Ellove - traditional vibrator discontinued by Fun Factory - review by foxinlace

This is perhaps my favorite vibrator. I haven't found anything else that makes rumbles quite so deep and delicious. The shaft is wide and a bit flared at the sides. The head is angled with a bit of an edge that could be used for some g-spot action if your g-spot doesn't require a great deal of pressure. The shaft is flexible and softer than most silicone toys I've used. Because of the curve and flexibility, I think it works well both internally and externally as it can lie over the clit and vulva quite comfortably. It is not recommended for anal as there is no stopper to it. I am somewhat new to toys and vibes, and while I love this one, it is really quite girthy, coming in around 5" in circumference. I have to be quite warmed up before using this one, so beginners and people who prefer slimmer toys may want to look elsewhere. Since it is comfortable both internally and externally, I think it is very versatile. The decorative patterning on the sides of the endcap and the overall shape of the toy remind me of a cobra, so that's what I refer to it as.

The shaft is 100% silicone and it is a really wonderful, slightly spongy soft silicone. There's a little drag to it, but it's wonderfully flexible and manages to be firm enough to keep its shape well, but also has quite a bit of give. The silicone has a soft odor to it, but it can only be detected at very close range.

Flexibility:

I think the size is better for more advanced users given the girth of this toy. While I enjoy fullness, it was difficult for me to insert before getting very warmed up, but I think it will certainly do the job for those who are looking for something filling. I would certainly take it traveling on fresh batteries, but it isn't discreet. While I wouldn't consider it a realistic toy, I think it is phallic enough to raise some eyebrows if it were left in the open. At 9" long and 5-5.5" around, it isn't the easiest thing to hide, either. I really liked the product image of the pink over the black case, but my Ellove is black on black, which was a pretty big disappointment for me. I actually considered sending it back because I really wanted the contrast, but I decided to give it a shot anyway. I believe the solid black endcap is the newer version, but that's just a guess.

The great thing about the Ellove is its turbo booster. Located on the end of the cap, it gives a strong vibration and can be pressed at any time to give you that extra jolt. While it is certainly audible, I couldn't really hear it under blankets, and I certainly couldn't hear it through a wall or door. Keeping music or a fan on while you play will make your chances of being heard pretty much nil though, if you are concerned about that. While supposedly splash proof, I have not tried it in the shower. The seal does seem to be nice and tight, though, so I think there shouldn't be much problem taking it in water. It seems to last very well on its four AAA batteries. I use this toy often and rarely have to change them.

The vibration patterns are as follows:

Pressing + 1-5x increases vibration intensity. 6-8 is a pulsation pattern that increases in frequency and intensity. The manual has no real instructions and is a little confusing at first.

It was a little confusing to figure out how to insert the batteries, as they go in alternate positions. Here's a pic:

Being splashproof, this is easy to clean and maintain. I wash mine with soap and water or spritz with antibacterial toy spray. I keep it in an organza bag in my toy drawer as I did not think the packaging was all that special (more on that in a minute). Because it is silicone, you want to avoid letting it touch other silicone toys or using it with silicone lubricants. Word of warning--this is a lint magnet! Even keeping it in a little drawstring bag I usually have to wash it before use.

While the packaging for this is nice, it was nothing special. The box is folded cardboard with a picture of the toy on the front. There's a small instruction booklet that details the features of the toy, but most of it is just filler. Again, not discreet.

This is a really great, quality toy from Fun Factory. It has the deepest, most rumbly vibrations of any toy I've tried so far-- on certain settings I can feel the vibrations radiate through my pelvis, which is a lot better than it sounds. It's consistent, solid, and the most natural/realistic feeling of any of my toys. Biggest frustration I have with it is that it is so thick and hard to insert if you aren't really warmed up, but that's hardly a con in my books.
