The meridian is a vibe you can insert vaginally or you can use it as a “massager”. The meridian does not have a flared base so you cannot insert it anally. I think this is a great clit vibe or as a beginners vibe. Vaginally inserted; the vibrations weren’t strong enough for my taste. I like it more as a clit vibe. However I think it would be great as a beginner’s vibe! It’s a cute silicone vibe and the size and vibrations won’t intimidate a new user. This isn’t a vibe for size queens! So if you like big toys this toy is not it. The meridian didn’t hit my G-spot because there aren’t any sharp curves in it. This toy can be heard under the covers but not outside a closed door. So you can use it if you have a room-mate so long as they are not in your room. The meridian is waterproof so you can have fun in the shower as well. You can tell the meridian is a toy so it isn’t travel friendly. However it’s smaller than a tv remote so you can stash it easily.

Since the meridian is silicone it’s very soft to the touch and it has no odor at all. The meridian doesn’t retain smell either. The meridian has a wavy texture to it. The texture is not extreme at all and would be great for a beginner or advanced user. The texture adds very little to your experience because the silicone is so smooth feeling. I you love heavy texture then I would purchase a different toy. You can also bend the meridian every which way. The material is very flexible.

The meridian has waves on it and they’re very light. The pale blue color is almost lavender. The buttons and battery area are plastic and have a metal look to them, that’s very sleek. The material is so smooth that I barely felt the texture. I do wish this toy was bigger because I’ve been liking big toys of late. This is not a toy for size queens. It’s a great size for a beginner or someone who isn’t obsessed with size (sorry I like big toys). The girth (inches around) of the meridian is 4 ¼ inch. The meridian is 1 ¼ inch across and 4 ¾ inch insertable. The meridian didn’t hit my G-spot. I think this toy is easy enough to hide. It would fit perfectly in a panty drawer without being seen. Or you can stow it with your other silicone toys. It’s obvious the meridian is a sex toy so it is not travel friendly.

The vibrations carry the entire length of the meridian. The vibrations of the meridian are average. They will definitely not beat a hole in the wall. I like strong vibrations and vaginally inserted this toy didn’t do a whole lot for me. However It was just right as a clit vibe. It’s perfect for that. I liked the pulsating vibe on the meridian because it was a tease for a different toy. This is a great warm up vibe or beginner vibe. The meridian has vibrating, pulsating and escalating speeds. The meridian is operated by two push buttons; the on/off button and the speed/vibration changing button. You push the on/off button to turn the toy on or off. You press the speed/vibration button once each time to shift through the vibrations. This toy is very easy to use. This toy is run on 2 AAA batteries (not 2 AA like the product page says). You can bring the meridian in the shower because it’s waterproof. However it can be heard under the covers but not outside a closed door. So as long as your room-mate is in a separate room then its room-mate friendly.

The meridian is silicone so you can use any; silicone safe toy cleaner, soap and water and even a toy wipe to clean it. Do not store the meridian with TPR, PVC, or jelly type toys. You can however store it with other silicone toys and glass toys. I store mine with my glass and silicone toys. Do not use silicone lubricant on the meridian! You can use natural or water based lubricant though.

The Meridian came in a pretty white box with extensive instructions on battery insertion and use. There is a picture of the Meridian on the box, so it’s not discreet packaging. Because there’s a picture of the meridian on the box, you may not want to give the box as a gift. However, you can use it for storage.
