Elise 2 Is Excellent!

Lelo's Elise 2 is an excellent toy, whether you are a beginner or an advanced toy user. With ten levels of power and 2 motors, it has the power to satisfy even a power queen like myself. The variety in patterns is incredible, and it's rechargeable, and waterproof. As long as noise discretion isn't an issue, you need to have Elise 2 in your toy box.

Use

Elise 2 is intended for internal use. The body of the toy has a slight curve to stimulate the g-spot. Elise can also be used to stimulate external areas such as the clitoris, testicles, or other erogenous areas of the body. The base of Elise 2 is slightly larger than the body of the toy, but not flared enough to safely recommend it for anal play.

Unlike the original Elise, Elise 2 is waterproof so she can be used both in and out of the water. The toy can be used for both solo and/or partner play. Those who don’t need sound discretion when it comes to a toys noise level would best use Elise 2. Elise is quiet on her lower settings, but on the highest settings she is very loud.

Material / Texture

The toy is made of FDA-approved and phthalate-free ABS (plastic) and silicone. Both body and base, including controls, are made of silicone. The silver ring around the toy is the ABS. Both materials that make up Elise are very safe. The materials are non-porous and can be sterilized.

The silicone body has a slight curve to it, is soft, and is smooth. There is no texture to the toy. The toy does not have any flexibility to it. There is a line that runs up the front and down the back of the body, but it is very subtle and unnoticeable when the toy is being used. The smooth body to the toy makes Elise beginner friendly, and an excellent choice for the more advanced toy user who doesn’t like textured toys.

Elise does not have much drag when run across the skin. She also doesn’t pick up lint and similar items like other toys do. With the toy being silicone, only water-based lubricants should be used with the toy. There is a 5mL sample packet of Lelo water-based lubricant included with the purchase of Elise 2. The sample lubricant is glycerine free and paraben free.

The ingredients to the sample lubricant as stated on the packaging are as follows: water (aqua), propylene glycol, hydroxyethylcellulose, aloe barbadenis leaf juice, sodium benzoate, potassium sorbate, tetrasodium edta, panax ginseng extract, paullinia cupana seed extract, avena sativa bran extract, polysorbate-20, aspartame, polyquaternium-5, peg-45m, and citric acid.

Design / Shape / Size

Elise 2 is available in plum, pink, or black. As previously mentioned, the toy has a curve to it and is ergonomically designed. At 2 1/4 inches down from the top of the toy is where the insertable portion is the largest in circumference. This area has a circumference of 4 1/2 inches. As you move down the shaft, the circumference lessens. The smallest circumference to the toy is 4 1/8 of an inch, and this is approximately 1 1/4 inches from the top of the silver plastic ring.

IMG

Elise 2 is 8 1/2 inches in length, with her insertable length being approximately 5 1/4 inches. The toy can be inserted further than 5 1/4 inches, but that is when you’ll start to insert the silver ABS ring. Both circumference and length are fairly average and would be suitable/comfortable for most people. The circumference and length may not satisfy a size queen or, on the contrary, those who prefer the very slender insertable toys.

Elise 2 does not have a realistic look, but the toy's appearance isn’t exactly discreet either. Elise is good for traveling with because she has a locking feature for the buttons, but her size is not compact. The toy comes with a black drawstring pouch that can be used for traveling. The pouch does not have any text or photos on it so it’s very discreet.

Functions / Performance / Controls

The toy will need to be charged before the first use. The port to plug the included charger cord into is located at the very bottom of the toy. The included manual does not state the charging times, though the Lelo website has all of the information you need. The toy takes 2 hours to fully charge. The control panel on Elise will light up and pulse so that you know that the toy is charging. When fully charged, Elise 2 will provide up to 4 hours of user time. The standby time for Elise 2 is 90 days.

Elise 2 has four buttons at the lower area of the base/handle. There is a plus (+) and minus (-) symbol, as well as an upward arrow (^) and downward arrow (v). To turn the toy on, press the plus (+) symbol. You’ll be met with the very lowest constant vibration. If the toy is charged but does not turn on by pressing that button, it may be locked. To unlock the toy, hold both the plus (+) and minus (-) symbol down simultaneously for a few seconds. To lock the toy, you do the same thing.

The plus (+) and minus (-) symbol control the power of the vibrations. The first level of vibration that you are met with when you turn the toy on is very, very dull. The vroom rating for the first level is less than a 1 out of 5 vroom level. Luckily though, Elise 2 has 10 different power levels to choose from. To increase the power, click the plus (+) sign and to decrease the power, click the minus (-) sign. Alternatively, you can hold the buttons down to decrease or increase the power much faster.

The arrows control the patterns to Elise 2. The patterns include pulsating, escalating, and vibrating. The manual doesn’t explain the differences between the patterns; I’ll explain them the best I can.

The first pattern is a constant vibration, and feels as though the motor at the tip is working stronger than the motor at the lower area of the shaft. The second pattern is the opposite of the first - a constant vibration with the motor in the lower shaft acting stronger than the motor at the tip. The third pattern is another constant vibration, while the motors pulsate back and fourth (tip is strong, then the lower shaft, and repeat). Fourth pattern is the same as the third but quicker pulses. Fifth pattern is escalation from low to high. The sixth pattern escalates from low to high to low. The seventh pattern was too hard to figure out. It’s a variety of escalating, pulsating, and vibrating.

Once you’ve reached the last pattern, you won’t be able to click the upward (^) arrow anymore to cycle through them. You’ll need to use the downward arrow (v) to cycle back. To turn the toy off at any time, you just hold down the minus (-) symbol. The toy will power down and then shut completely off. When you turn the toy back on again, it won’t save the pattern or speed level you were last on so you will need to cycle through the speeds and patterns again.

Elise 2 has 2 motors: one in the lower area of the shaft and one at the tip. The vibrations can be felt throughout the entire toy, but are most prominent where the motors are located. The vibrations are a nice rumble rather than buzzy. She has the strength to satisfy a power queen on the higher settings, and her lower settings are excellent for those who prefer the lighter power. The variety of power levels makes it an excellent choice for all toy users. As you increase the power, the noise level increases as well. The lower settings cannot be heard through a closed door, but the highest settings absolutely can be.

Care and Maintenance

Caring for Elise 2 is easy, because she is waterproof and doesn’t have any texture to her body. You can use an antibacterial soap and water, toy wipes, or a toy cleaning spray to clean the toy. The manual states that the toy should not be cleaned with any product that includes alcohol, petrol, or acetone, so just be sure that the product you use does not include any of the three. I prefer using soap and water. Silicone can be sterilized by wiping it down with a bleach/water solution.

The toy should not be stored in direct sunlight or touching other silicone toys/products. The included box or storage pouch is ideal for storing the toy when it’s not in use. Elise 2 has a one-year warranty and a ten-year quality guarantee. You will need to register the product with the included authenticity card.

Packaging

Elise 2 arrives in a long rectangular cardboard box. The packaging is pink in colour. The top of the box has the company name at the centre top. This box is very discreet and perfect for storing the toy. The bottom of the box states the product name, product description, contents of the box, and company website. Lastly, the side of the box states a number of the product features. The outer cardboard box can be recycled.

Inside of the cardboard box, there is another box holding the toy. This box is all black in colour with the company name at the centre top. This box is very discreet and is perfect for storing the toy. The storage box is 12 3/4 inches x 4 1/4 inches. The box is 2 1/8 inches in height. This box holds the toy, charging cord, user manual, storage pouch, authenticity card, and a sample pack of lubricant.

Personal comments

Elise 2 is the second version of Elise by Lelo. I hadn’t tried the first version, so I am unable to compare the two. I did look into the differences, though, and they seem to be as follows:

1. Elise 2 has a full silicone body, whereas the original has a silicone insertable portion and the base/controls are plastic.
2. Elise 2 is waterproof while the original is not.
3. Elise 2 has more modes than the original.
4. The modes to Elise 2 include escalating, while the original does not have this.

The packaging to Elise 2 also states that it has fuller, deeper stimulation than the original and also has 100% more power. I can’t confirm this, though, since I have not tried the original Elise.

Experience

When I first received the toy, I wasn’t sure of the exact charge time because I had only read the included manual. When I had plugged it in, the control panel began pulsing in a red colour. About 15 minutes later, the control panel stopped pulsing and held the solid red colour. I’m not sure if this is because it was fully charged after 15 minutes, but I left the toy charging overnight. When I had woken up the next morning, the light had not shut off during the night. With that being said, I assume the solid red light means that the toy is fully charged. I’ll update this in the follow up review, though.

I was a bit nervous to submerge the bottom portion of the toy where the port is, because there is nothing to secure water from getting into this area. Usually toys will have a little plug that you stick into the hole when you’re using in a water setting, but Elise 2 doesn't. I filled my sink with water and submerged Elise 2. To my surprise, she worked perfectly under water.

The vibrations are powerful enough to satisfy me both internally and externally. I consider myself to be a power-queen, especially for external stimulation. I’ve given the vroom rating a 4, but it’s more like a 4.5 out of 5 on the highest level. The vibrations remind me of the Couture Pink Inspire, which is my favourite toy ever for strength. The Couture Inspire seems to have just a bit more punch to it. The noise level to Elise 2 is very similar to the Inspire as well.

I absolutely love it and would definitely recommend it to others!! The other high-end and high-price vibrators that I have tried do not compare to the Elise 2.
