Every party has a pooper...

The Party Bender was just okay. Not the center of the party by any means, just a mostly forgettable toy that seemed to have a lot of potential. A firmer spine would have helped, as well as stronger vibes.

Pros
Bumpy texture, slimmer vibe.
Cons
The bendiness of this vibe turned out to be it's biggest flaw. Weak vibrations.

Use

When I first saw the Party Bender, I was really excited to order and try it out. What could be more fun than a vibe that bends to reach your goods in need of some action? The description and packaging promised a vibe that wouldn't bend back out of shape unless you bent it back yourself. Plus, it's a slimmer vibe which is something I've been wanting for insertion. Perfect!

Turns out, not so much. The first thing I tried upon opening the package was bending it in different ways to check out this claim. It does bend, but doesn't actually fully hold that position - it kept rebounding at least a few clicks in almost any position I bent it in.

But I figured, hey, no big deal, let's try this thing out. I popped in the two AAAs it required, tested the controls (your basic turning knob that increases vibration intensity), and laid back, excited for the party to start down under.

I started out focusing the vibrations on my clit for awhile to warm up, and then tried insertion. The nubs along the shaft felt great externally, but internally they were actually a bit uncomfortable. And the feature I was most excited about, the bendable shaft, actually turns out is a bit of a bummer because anytime I tried to put pressure on my clit or internally, the shaft bent and diffused the pressure I was trying to apply. The only way to put pressure on a spot using this vibe is using the tip of the vibe and thrusting straight or bending it until it stops and trying to then maneuver the pressure to where you're aiming for.

So far, this vibe is showing my party no finesse. I figure, let me just finish up and try bringing this vibe to a party another time. Unfortunately, the vibrations aren't great even on high, and this, combined with the issue of not really being able to apply pressure to a specific area made my orgasm take a long time in the making and wasn't great in the end. I'm usually one to come quickly and easily, so I found this a bit disappointing.

Turns out this Party Bender was more of an awkward house guest than the star of the crowd.

Material / Texture

The Party Bender is made out of a soft pink jelly that has silver glitter inside. The spine seems to be made out of plastic, as is the dial on the bottom.

Upon opening the packaging, there was a rubbery jelly smell to this toy, but it has faded pretty quickly with a few washings and uses. It has a slightly tacky feeling like most jelly vibes that makes it drag a bit with use, but nothing that a little bit of lube (either water-based or silicone is fine) can't fix.

Being that it's made of jelly and therefore porous, it can't be sterilized, so any sharing should be done with a condom. It is easy to clean though, with some mild soap and water. The packaging made it clear that this is not a water-proof toy, so be careful when submerging this toy.

Design / Shape / Size

The design on this toy is nice, the glitter makes it kind of fun and the nubs and couple of ribs felt great externally, though ended up not feeling as nice internally. The Party Bender is 7.5 inches long, 6.5 inches of which are insertable, which seemed like a good size for me. It's 4 inches around with a diameter of 1.25 inches, which is nice for those looking for a slimmer vibe. It's pretty light at under a quarter pound.

It's not a discreet toy, as it's pink and glittery and phallic, but it is small enough to hide easily enough. I'd travel with this if I end up deciding I liked it enough to be without, but more of a checked baggage toy than a carry-on because if TSA even whipped the Party Bender out of your bag, you'd garner more than a few chuckles from your fellow passengers.

This toy would be good for beginners who are starting to learn what they like, or for those who don't need or like focused pressure on specific erogenous zones in order to orgasm.

Functions / Performance / Controls

The control on the Party Bender is fairly straight-forward. Intensity is controlled by your standard dial on the base of the toy, beginning quite low and building up as you turn it. I'd say it starts on one bee and builds to three bees at the most intense. I had a hard time figuring out where the vibrations were coming from, as they are not in the tip. They are possibly somewhere an inch or two down from the tip, but the vibrations travel fairly uniformly throughout the toy. It's not very loud which is a nice perk, definitely something that can be easily muffled by blankets or insertion. The buzz can't be heard through a door, though a fan, TV or music can be turned on just in case for extra caution. As mentioned above, this toy is not waterproof.

Care and Maintenance

Again, as a jelly toy and hence porous, it can't be sterilized so any sharing should be done with a condom. It is easy to clean with some mild soap and water or toy cleaner, though do not submerge this non-waterproof toy. Both water-based and silicone lubes are compatible with the Party Bender.

I store mine in a little drawstring fabric pouch I made to keep it from attracting lint or hair in a box under my bed. It's probably wise to keep this toy away from a heat source to avoid any melting issues.

Packaging

The packaging for the Party Bender is a plastic blister pack with a cardboard insert. The insert has the name of the toy, a college co-ed gal with a t-shirt and panties on and a picture showing the degrees of bendiness this toy should have. Indeed, it does bend as the package declares but contrary to the packaging and listing promises, it doesn't actually stay. You could use the packaging for a gift but more as a gag or funny gift rather than something classy as it isn't discreet at all. It could also be used for storage, though I prefer to store it more discreetly than the package would allow.

There were some minor instructions included, but adding the 2 AAA batteries and turning it on was intuitive and I didn't need them.

Experience

Overall, this toy was a bit disappointing. As I've mentioned, it doesn't actually stay bent well, from rebounding a few clicks on it's own once it was bent to easily changing shape when using it. I considered whether this was a toy I should return as defective, but all in all I think it's just the way the toy was designed with the plastic spine. It could've been redeemed a bit with stronger vibrations but that too was weaker than I'd hoped.

This could be a good toy for beginners, those who like weaker vibes and those who are looking for texture. The Party Bender is also nice for those requiring a slimmer vibe for insertion.

Here's to hoping my next party is more exciting!
Follow-up commentary
Since I wrote this review, I have tried this toy one more time and ended with the same level of frustration. It's now teetering on the edge of being thrown out. Onward to better toys!

Thanks! Yeah, it definitely turned out to be a bummer, unfortunately. One of those things that the feature sounds great in theory but turns out to be lame in practice.

Nice job! I have to tell you how much I always appreciate a really honest review. Not every product is a winner, and I find the honesty to be so helpful. Thank you!

Thanks, indiglo. I don't really see the point in lying about what I think of a toy because that doesn't help anyone. Gotta be honest!

The nubs sound awesome, but it's unfortunate that you didn't go for it. The bendy toys that are cheaper never hold their shape very well. Thanks for the review!
