Thrusting rabbit vibrator
by Blush Novelties

Fantastic features

This is a fantastic toy that combines a unique thrusting/gyrating shaft movement with intense vibrations in the shaft and clit attachment. So long as you're properly prepared for it, the intense stimulation feels amazing, and the sensations it provides are unlike any other toy in my collection. Don't let its modest size fool you - this baby packs a serious punch!

First impression

I love thrusting toys, and the Lush Kira initially appealed to me because of its thrusting and gyrating shaft. While I'd tried several toys that thrust, this was my first toy that both thrusted AND gyrated, and I was intensely curious about the sort of sensations that unique movement would create. The Lush Kira is similar to another toy by Blush Novelties, the Lush Iris, but the Kira has a flexible vibrating clit attachment where the Iris has an inflexible air pulsation clit attachment. Kira also has vibrations in the shaft, while Iris doesn't vibrate at all. I agonised a little over which one to try, and ultimately decided that the shaft vibrations and flexible clit attachment on the Kira was more appealing to me (I was also concerned the inflexible and un-adjustable clit arm on the Iris wouldn't fit my anatomy).

The Lush Kira arrived in Eden's usual nondescript brown shipping box, with the sender listed as "Web Merchants Inc," so those with privacy concerns can rest easy. Inside this innocent-looking box and nestled in brown shipping paper was the package for the Lush Kira itself. The Kira came packaged inside a cardboard box with a large clear plastic window that allows you to see the product. It's not at all discreet and isn't the best for continued storage, but it looks relatively classy (no naked models) and protective. The toy and its charging cable are contained inside a molded plastic clamshell-style insert that pulls out of the cardboard frame. This insert opens easily (it's not heat-sealed or anything, thank god), and also contains a piece of paper with information about the product and safety and cleaning information, and also explains how to operate the toy.

I was instantly impressed with the feel of the silicone on this toy. It's up there with some of the softest and smoothest silicone toys I own. I also noticed that the hot pink colour was slightly darker in person than it looks on the product page, and I actually liked the colour a lot better in person. I noticed that the clit attachment had a somewhat unusual design. It has two little ears/ticklers, but rather than having these "ears" positioned side-by-side, like on bunny-shaped clitoral arms, these ticklers were positioned vertically, with one directly on top of the other. It gives the toy a slightly different, more modern aesthetic, though I honestly had no idea if I'd like them better or worse than a more traditional clit bunny while using the toy. There's some gentle ribbing near the base of the shaft, which is where the thrusting/gyrating joint is, and the shaft has a slight bulge at the head. Aside from that, the shaft is smooth and untextured. The shaft has a circumference of roughly 4 inches at the widest point and has an insertable length of about 5 inches when the thrusting joint is fully extended, so it's a nice, unintimidating size.

Next, I turned my attention to the toy's functions. The Lush Kira has three buttons, and none of them is a power button. Each individual function of the toy is activated by simply holding down the necessary button for a couple of seconds (and can be turned off the same way). The top button controls the thrusting/gyrating motion in the shaft. There's only one setting for this feature, with the shaft thrusting and swirling at a moderate speed. The second button controls the vibrations in both the clitoral stimulator and the head of the shaft, which gives you the option between three steady vibration intensities and four patterns. The vibrations are very powerful and are more on the rumbly end of the spectrum. The bottom button controls the heating feature. Holding it down for a couple of seconds makes a light on the button activate, which tells you that the heating function is on. It takes a few minutes for it to warm up. I did notice that this toy is a little on the louder side....although strangely, it was the vibrations that seemed the loudest to me. The thrusting/gyrating does create a sort of high-pitched mechanical sound, but it's not especially loud. The vibrations, on the other hand, are much louder than I expected, which I suppose is probably a side-effect of how strong and rumbly they are. It's definitely not the quietest toy in my collection, but if you have a fan, TV, or music going, I doubt it could be heard through a closed door, so it's not too bad.

All in all, I was extremely excited to try out my new toy!

First Use

Before trying out my new toy for the first time, I plugged it in until it was fully charged, then took it off to the bathroom sink for a quick wash. Since this toy is splash-proof and made from silicone, it's very easy to clean. You can wash it with either toy cleaner or mild soap and rinse with warm water. You can also use it in the shower, although you shouldn't submerge it. Since this toy contains electronic components, you cannot sterilise it by boiling it or putting it through the dishwasher, but you can sanitise it by washing it with either rubbing alcohol or a 5-10% bleach solution (just make sure to rinse thoroughly). As with all silicone toys, you're going to want to stick to using water-based lube with the Lush Kira as silicone and oil-based products can degrade silicone toys. You'll also want to avoid letting it come into prolonged contact with other sex toys during storage, as sometimes various materials can have strange chemical reactions to one another (staining, melting, fusing, etc.). I just put my Lush Kira into a ziplock baggie before tossing it back into my toybox, but any sort of plastic or lint-free cloth bag or wrapping would suffice.

My first time trying the Lush Kira was actually not terribly successful. I'd started my period the day it arrived, so I had to wait a couple of days to try it. By the time things were less messy and crampy, I was SO excited to try it out that I plowed ahead despite the fact that I was extremely sleep-deprived and not feeling 100%. I started by warming up by just turning on the vibrations on the Lush Kira and using the head of the toy to tease my clit and other external ladybits....but I was so eager to see what that thrusting and gyrating shaft felt like that I lubed it up, shoved it in my vagina, and turned it on before I was all that aroused. In that state, the intensity of the thrusting and gyrating was actually pretty uncomfortable, which did not help my level of arousal at all, and I ended up just putting everything away and going to bed without an orgasm.

I want to emphasise that this unfortunate first date was not the fault of the toy at all, but rather the result of my impatience and moving faster than my body was ready for. I've done this before, and you'd think I would have learned my lesson by now, but.....apparently not.

Further Experience

My second date with the Lush Kira was MUCH better. I decided to try again the day after my disastrous first attempt. This time I was well-rested, horny, and had plenty of time, so I wasn't feeling rushed. First I activated the heating function on the Kira, then I started out with my usual ritual of throwing a towel down on my bed and pulling up a sexy story on my phone. I used Mr. Peter (small rabbit) to tease my clit, labia, and vaginal opening while I read my erotica until I was feeling very wet and aroused, then inserted Mr. Peter and thrust that toy slowly for a few minutes, until I was certain that I was extremely aroused and my lady bits were ready for some intense stimulation. I threw aside Mr. Peter and applied a little of my favourite water-based lube to the head of the Lush Kira, then activated the vibrations and used the head of the toy to tease my external anatomy a bit to adjust to the more powerful, rumbly vibes and the warmth from the heated shaft before sliding the shaft into my vagina. For a few minutes, I just used the toy as a traditional rabbit, thrusting the toy manually and enjoying the deep, rumbling vibrations on my G-spot and clit. The clitoral attachment hit my clitoris beautifully, although because of the way it's angled and the layout of my particular anatomy, the little ticklers didn't make contact with my body at all. The main body of the clitoral arm, however, rested perfectly on my clit and delivered wonderfully deep, penetrating vibrations that felt amazing. The bulged head easily hit my G-spot and the deep vibes felt awesome internally. Finally, I felt ready to try activating the thrusting and gyration shaft. I held down the button and the shaft sprang to life inside me, thrusting and swirling. Now that my pussy was ready for it, it felt amazing! It was definitely unlike any toy I'd tried previously, and the combination of the vibrations, thrusting, and gyrating was very intense (this time in a good way). Within a few minutes, I enjoyed a wonderful orgasm that had me biting my lip to keep from crying out.

Further experience has proven that this toy is awesome, so long as my girly parts are prepared for it. The stimulation it provides (both internal and external) is VERY intense, so I need to be sure I'm properly warmed up and ready for it, but once I am, it's absolutely heavenly. The heating feature just adds to how wonderful this toy feels, and the warmth in the shaft feels amazing both when using it externally and internally. I have a couple of other heated toys, and it's a feature I really enjoy. I do kind of wish that there was more than one setting for the thrusting/gyrating feature. It would be nice if I had the option to start out with a slower thrusting/gyrating speed and then to be able to ramp up the speed as my arousal increases, but that's a relatively minor complaint. The buttons are easy to use and relatively easy to find by feel, the silicone feels amazing, and the features on this toy are extremely stimulating. I'd hesitate to recommend this toy to an absolute beginner, just because of how intense it is, but I highly recommend it for more intermediate/advanced users. It's a very different sensation from a more traditional thrusting toy and I'm thrilled to have it in my collection!

Vibration Map

The vibrations are strongest in the clit attachment, so that's a 3. The vibrations in the head are slightly less intense (though still quite strong), so that's a 2, although I'd rate the shaft as a 3 too if I could, just because the stimulation provided by the shaft movement is VERY intense and stimulating. Very little vibration can be felt in the handle.
  • Very mild, low level vibration
  • Moderate vibration
  • Strong and easily felt vibration

Orgasm Intensity

The orgasms I've had with this toy have been awesome! I'd say 8-9/10.
