Flavored? Yes. Lube? Not so much.

If you're looking for something to add sweetness to oral sex, this could be a good choice. If you want a functional flavoured lube that provides long lasting slickness, look elsewhere. It doesn't contain glycerin or parabens, and says it is for sensitive skin, but while writing this review I had an allergic reaction to the product.

Use

Like other flavoured lubes, Wet Naturals Sensual Strawberry can be used to add some sweetness to oral sex. I would not recommend this lube for anal play, handjobs, or for textured or large toys. It could work for vaginal sex, but I personally don't use lube for that purpose. Since it is a water-based lube, it is compatible with condoms and with all toy materials. It is glycerin and paraben free, but contains plant extracts which some people could be allergic to. I've included a full list of ingredients in the Personal Comments section.

Texture / Consistency / Thickness / Viscosity

This is the most runny, drippy and watery lube I have tried. It feels almost exactly like water, and is only slightly more slippery. If you prefer a lube with a very light texture you might enjoy it. I find it hard to get enough to stick to a toy to even make it worth using.

Taste / Aroma

This is one of the better tasting flavoured lubes I have tried. If you put a big drop on your tongue it is a bit bitter, but when licked off skin it has a fresh, strawberry flavour that is sweet, but not overly so. I wouldn't call it a strong flavour, but it is definitely noticeable. I think it tastes more like a real strawberry than the System JO strawberry lube I also own. The smell is fairly strong and will remain on the skin for several hours after the lube is licked off.

Performance

Wet Naturals Sensual Strawberry starts out being barely slippery, and dries/absorbs quickly. If used for a handjob it would have to be reapplied at least every 2 minutes. It doesn't leave any residue behind, so there's no need to wash it off.

When I used this with toys, it didn't improve the experience. It didn't seem to make insertion easier, or reduce friction. The lube was totally overwhelmed by my natural dampness, and wasn't even noticeable, aside from the scent. I am naturally wet and only use lube for larger, or textured toys, or for anal play. This thin lube just didn't stand up to my needs. Someone who wants a very light lube for PIV sex, or for smaller or smoother toys might find this more useful than I did.

I didn't notice any irritation when I used this in my vagina or put it in my mouth, but when I applied some to the back of my hand while writing this review, my skin got red and itchy. I have very sensitive skin, and even things like juice dripping from an orange can give me this kind of reaction, but the only time I've had an issue with lube in the past was when I tried a warming lube. It would probably be fine for most people, but if you have very sensitive skin or know you have an issue with one of the ingredients, then I suggest you steer clear.

Packaging

The packaging is pretty, and about as informative as a lube bottle could be. It is fairly discreet, and wouldn't stand out if left on the top of a dresser with other products. The bottle has a pale pink flip top, and I haven't had any problems with it leaking, even while stored on it's side. It has a pink, white and gold label. The front has the name of the product, and tells you that it is for sensitive skin, and is hypoallergenic, and pH balanced. The words "Flavored Lubricant" are printed vertically on the side of the bottle, and aren't extremely obvious. The back has more product information, directions, and warnings in both English and French, as well as a list of ingredients. It is made in the USA and expires 12 months from the day it is opened.

Personal comments

Ingredients: Water, PEG, Flavor, Aspartame, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Polysorbate-20, Sodium Benzoate, Diazolidinyl Urea, Triethanolamine, Citric Acid, Carbomer, Tetrasodium EDTA, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Citrus Grandis (Grapefruit) Seed Extract, Tocopheryl Acetate (Vitamin E Acetate), Vitis Vinifera (Grape) Seed Extract, Vaccinium Macrocarpon (Cranberry) Fruit Extract, Trifolium Pratense (Clover) Flower Extract, Ascorbic Acid.
Follow-up commentary
I mentioned in my original review that the bottle doesn't leak. After leaving it stored on it's side for 3 months, I discovered today that isn't true. I found half the bottle had leaked inside one of my toy drawers. I really wasn't planning on trying this lube again after having a reaction to it, so I finally threw it away.

A good taste doesn't matter if it doesn't work. I hate runny lube. I also hate aspartame. It's a shame about the consistency. Thank you!
