G Marks The Spot

If you are looking for a non-waterproof toy that can give pleasure to all areas of your vulva then the Intimate Basics Lola can do that very well. I absolutely love the way this toy feels on my lips, how it vibrates my clit, how the long shaft fits inside of me and more importantly, I love how it feels on my g-spot. I was really disappointed that this toy leaked water and was hard to use once it got wet.

The Intimate Basics Lola G-Spot Vibrator is a fantastically smooth and comfortable vibrator with a tapered and curved tip that is designed not only for great g-spot stimulation but is an excellent toy for penetration in both your vagina and if you enjoy anal play, your butt too. The Lola's intense vibrations make it a great clit stimulator that is easy to hold for long periods of time as well. When using the Lola for vaginal and anal play, be sure to clean it thoroughly because going from your butt to your vagina could give you an infection. The Lola's curved and tapered tip makes this vibe incredibly easy to insert. The curving of the tip makes it easy to reach that intimate spot and the nubs located under the tip feel extremely good as they pass over your clit, through your lips, and into your vagina. The nubs aid in stimulating your g-spot while the curved tip pinpoints exactly where you want to feel the incredible vibrations. If you are a guy that enjoys anal play, you might also enjoy this vibrator since the Lola has a length and shape that makes it easy to hold on to and the curved tip might stimulate your "p-spot" but I have no way of testing that. The Lola was also fun to use on my nipples. The tip tingled my nipples and felt really good if done lightly.

When i'm horny, I really enjoy taking the Lola to bed and having some fun. The area after the "bulge" is like a mini handle and if you have smaller hands like me, will fit nicely in your hand or fingers. Because of this handle, it's easy to thrust though, depending on the woman, may find that the curved tip could bruise the cervix, especially if you go past the "bulge". I am not sure if the bulge is made to be inserted or acts like a stop point, but if you know your body, you should be able to judge whether you can accommodate it. If you are like me and can accommodate it then you'll have problems with vaginal secretions getting on the handle and "speed dial" making it both hard to use and clean. I found it better to just stop half way over the bulge.

When I used the Lola in my butt I thought it felt nice. It's tapered tip made it easy to insert and since the Lola's diameter is pretty small compared to other vibrators and toys didn't feel to big or uncomfortable though most people might want to use some lube or get their finger and spread some of your natural wetness over the Lola. I could feel the intense vibrations through my butt, into my vagina and even my clit, but it was kinda dull once it got there, so if you are looking for an anal toy that can provide enough vibrations to feel it in your clit then this may not be the toy you are looking for.

Partner play with the Lola is also fun. My lesbian partner and I found it fun to and easy to use on each other. Taking turns was also fun; but you should only take turns if you trust your partner and their fluids. We both experienced really great orgasms from this toy. You should make sure your partner is wet enough though, because the toy is naturally "dry" and not "slippery" like plastic.

A draw back in handling this vibrator is the "speed dial" It's very stiff and hard to turn while it is inside of you. It's easier to pull it out and change the speed than it is to leave it in, change the speed, and try to hold it steady and in place. The speed dial is almost impossible to work with under water or once it's wet. The Lola itself is also not waterproof making this a toy for dry places only. The package says that it is waterproof but if you want to enjoy your Lola for a long time keep it out of the water. The vibrations are, however, strong enough to be felt in deep water, so it's a shame you can't use it in the tub.

Material / Texture

The Lola vibe is a Hypo-allergenic toy made from food-grade materials. Lola is latex free and shouldn't cause you any irritations. The Lola is made out of hard rubber as stated on the package. It's texture is really smooth and velvet like. The Lola has a set of nubs or bumps that are located below the g-spot tip. With only 21 of these nubs, I found it disappointing that there wasn't more of them to enjoy. The bumps or nubs are located on the "top" portion of the vibrator which, when inserted, moves across your clit (if you angle it slightly, depending on your clitoris) and top wall of your vagina and g-spot. These smooth & hard bumps feel extremely good! Because of the texture, you might need to be more excited (wetter) than usual or use some lube. If you hate lube like me, then just get yourself really wet, then use your fingers to spread some of your wetness over the toy prior to inserting. This will keep it from "dragging" and pulling your lips.

All-in-all the Lola's shape and texture make this a great toy for beginners and more experienced users. The colour and design of this vibe looks extremely friendly and appealing. If you are wanting to use the Lola with a partner it will not look foreboding as it is slim and very soft. The Lola, although made out of rubber, has no scent or taste so it can be licked with passion, without any disgusting tastes or silly faces.

Design / Shape / Size

The Lola vibrator is non flexible hard rubber toy with a very soft and velvety surface This vibrator has about 6.5 inches of insertable length with a tapered curved tip, a bulging ball close the end, and a set of 21 nubs under the tip. The main shaft of the Lola vibrator is about 3.5 inches around. The Bulge is about 4.3 inches around. The area past the bulge is about 2.5 inches giving you an easy handle to hold on to.

I feel like the length and size of this vibrator is perfect. It's long enough to give you deep penetration but is also slim enough to easily tilt to get the tip where you want it. I personally wish the bulge part of this vibe would've been a little closer to the tip as this would've felt really great for rhythmic insertions without having so much length inside already. I am not sure if the designers of this vibe even intended for you to insert the bulge or if it was more like a stop point and seperator for the "handle".

The smooth rubber makes inserting it into your vagina extremely pleasurable. You feel the tapered tip spread your lips, the shaft increases in size slightly, then you feel the bumps rubbing across your delicate vaginal walls and then the tip makes contact with your g-spot. The design and shape is very pleasurable and enjoyable. The design of this vibe makes ot easy to use and hold almost anywhere you want it. The package states that the Lola is seamless. This is not true at all. There is a quite noticable seam that runs the whole length of the vibrator. I never really noticed it when inserting it, then again, the toy is really soft and smooth.

Functions / Performance / Controls

The performance of the Lola is actually pretty good. It certainly gets the job done with it's design. However, Lola starts failing miserably when you want to interact with her electric components and controls. The "speed dial" is extremely stiff and hard to use especially in water. It feels like you are trying to unscrew a cap on a soda bottle that someone put on too tight. I have really soft hands and fingers and it felt uncomfortable to twist so hard to change the speeds. When the toy is wet either from your own secretions or water, the speed dial is almost impossible to turn because of how stiff it is and the design of the grips. It just slides around in your fingers making them raw or sore. The grips on the speed dial are very shallow.

The speed dial itself isn't designed all that well either. For some reason there is "lag" when you turn on the vibrator. You need to twist it to the highest setting just to get it to turn on and then you can turn it down to the speed you desire. Trying to turn it on from the "off" position to a low setting, probably won't work.

Another thing I have noticed is sometimes the vibrator will not be running at the highest setting even though you have it turned to the highest setting. I had to wiggle the speed dial around which fixed it most of the time. Other times I would have to strike it against my hand or bed to get the speeds to change. On occasion it would fix itself but later on while playing it would go back to a slower setting even though I hadn't changed the dial. This is frustrating because it really messes with how you enjoy feeling the vibrations to achieve your blissful climax.

The Lola has an "O Ring" which seems to be useless as the Lola isn't waterproof. While using it in the bathtub it seemed to work fine, however, I later decided to open it up and make sure it hadn't leaked any water. Sure enough, I was poring water out of my pretty new vibe. Thanks Dr. Laura! I enjoy vibrators that say "waterproof" yet leak water worse than a damaged ship. Surprisingly, I let it dry out and it works; when it feels like it.

Care and Maintenance

Since the Lola has a water leakage problem you'll be spending quite some time cleaning out the insides of the vibrator if you use it in water. If you fail to get all the water out, the motor will rust and stop working. You also risk the toy getting moldy inside or mildew build up inside if you can't get all of the water out. It's also extremely hard to get the speed dial clean. Water and vaginal secretions get under the dial and just won't come out, short of taking the speed dial apart just to clean it. For the vibrator / insertable portion, just clean with toy cleaner or soap and water, making sure to clean around the nubs. If you don't use this toy in water or go past the bulge, clean up will be extremely easy.
    • Hard to clean
    • High maintenance

The Intimate Basics Lola came in a plastic package that opened quite easily. If you have no other place to store your toys, like a toy box or bag, then putting it back in it's packaging is really easy. The package is pretty small and if opened correctly, will snap closed again. The toy just sits inside of the molded plastic , you don't have to snap it in or out of the package. Simply open the package and tilt. The toy will come out nice and easy. As always, the packaging inside the box provided by Eden Fantasys was perfect. The box was stuffed with paper to keep the toy from banging around and getting broken.

Personal comments

I love a variety of toys. I really enjoy big toys, fat toys, slim toys, and exotic toys. When I have slender objects and toys inside of my vagina, it feels nice. I enjoy g-spot play and having fun with skinny / slim toys that can be spun, twisted, or moved around. The Lola is just the right size to provided my insides with plenty of pleasure. The curved tip, nubs, and vibrations felt amazing and knowing how slim it is made it easy for me to move it around how I like it. Despite it's problems this vibe is still fun and I will continue using it; just not in water.

I have hardly any toys that can stimulate my g-spot the way I like. When I got this toy I was extremely excited about it. I took it out of the package and ran my hands up and down the smooth shaft. I noticed the nubs and ran my fingers across them. I was so excited already. The shape and style, I couldn't wait to feel that tip vibrating my g-spot. I was so wet after looking over it and thinking about what it'll feel like. I couldn't wait! I went to the bathroom and immediately inserted the cool tapered tip into my vagina. I left the vibe off for a while just enjoying the curved tip poking my g-spot over and over as I gently pushed it in and pulled it out. I then turned on the vibrator and I felt wonderful sensations collecting on my g-spot. It didn't take long before I had orgasms that made me convulse, my only concern is, I hope no one heard my moans of pleasure escaping the bathroom. It was such a rich, tingly, and explosive orgasm from my new toy! Although I might not recommend this exact g-spot vibrator, I do recommend getting "A" g-spot vibrator so you can experience what I did unless you plan on keeping the Lola out of the water.
Follow-up commentary
Despite the problems this vibrator has, I have indeed enjoyed it further. After letting it dry out for days and replacing the now messed up batteries, it works perfectly, though I will not play with it in water, ever. I still enjoy the vibrating tip and the nubs on the shaft. It’s a typical g-spot vibrator, and I would still recommend a different purchase, mainly because of the waterproof claim. But if you are willing to give the Intimate Basics Lola a try, I’m positive that you will enjoy it’s strong vibrating tip and multi-vibration control.
