Hustler’s Lil Helper is designed to be used as a clitoral vibrator, or for very shallow vaginal penetration. It can be used all over the body’s erogenous zones, and would be a nice introduction to toys for anyone. This is also a good option for couples who are interested in starting to use toys together, because it will not get in the way during sex, or when being used with an insertable toy. It can also be used for external anal stimulation; however it is not safe for anal insertion.

The Lil Helper doesn’t pack a whole lot of power, but its small size, quiet motor and waterproof design will make it a good option for many people.

The Lil Helper’s shaft is made of 100% Japanese medical grade silicone, with velvet coated plastic on the handle. Silicone receives a safety rating of 10 here at Eden because it is body safe, non-porous, and can easily be sanitized. Plastic receives a safety rating of 8 here at Eden for the same reasons. This toy is completely phthalate-free, and has absolutely no smell or taste. It is also completely rigid with absolutely no squish or give, and has the slightest bit of drag to it.

The texture of the Lil Helper is completely smooth on both the shaft and the handle. The shaft has the Hustler name etched onto both sides, but that does not provide texture that is noticed during use. There is a seam running up the front and down the back of the shaft, but this is not noticed during use either.

The Lil Helper has a short shaft and a round, bulbous head at the tip. The tip is designed for g-spot stimulation when the toy is inserted, but the toy is so short it will only work for women with really shallow g-spots. Upon insertion, the broad head also provides a bit of stretch to the vaginal opening, so users who enjoy the feeling of inserting a thicker toy will enjoy that aspect. The bulbous head provides broader, more diffuse clitoral stimulation, rather than extremely pinpointed vibrations. Hustler did a nice job of designing a small, easy to handle, unobtrusive toy here.

The size and shape make this toy very easy to use, and help it to stay completely out of the way during partnered sex, or when using an insertable toy. The bulbous head keeps this toy from rolling away from you when you put it on a flat surface.

This toy runs on 2 AAA batteries, not included. The base of the Lil Helper comes off with a quarter turn, and the batteries then slide into the toy, one right side up and one upside down.

The vibrations are most noticeable in the bulbous head of the Lil Helper, and I find them to be stronger at the back of the head, rather than the front of the head that protrudes slightly. They are felt only slightly in the handle, so this is not a toy that will make your hand go numb as you use it.

Hustler’s Lil Helper has only one speed, but 5 different patterned settings. The vibrations in the Lil Helper aren’t particularly buzzy or deep, they are moderate in both strength and frequency. It is slightly buzzier than the Je Joue MiMi’s vibrations. The speed of the Lil Helper is comparable to power level 3 on the MiMi, and it is just slightly louder than the MiMi. It rates 3 bees and 3 vrooms across the board on every setting.

The toy is controlled by a push button on the bottom end. To turn the toy on, press and hold the push button for about 1 second. To turn the Lil Helper off, press and hold the push button for just over 1 second. To scroll between settings, press the button once briefly until you hear a clicking sound. You can only scroll through the settings in one direction, so if you want to go back to a previous setting turn the toy off and you’ll start back at the beginning. The push button is extremely easy to use, and is in a convenient location so that it’s easy to change during use, but not easily bumped by accident.

2 – Slower, longer pulses, about 6 per second
3 – Steady vibration
4 – Slow pulses, about 4 per second
5 – 4 short pulses followed by 1 longer pulse (cycle lasts about 1 second), then nothing for about half a second, then the cycle repeats

The Lil Helper can be heard in the same room when it’s on, but can’t be heard through a closed door. This toy would definitely work for anyone who needs to be discreet with their toys.

Hustler’s Lil Helper is very easy to store and care for. It is small enough to be hidden almost anywhere, and will easily fit into a toy pouch, plastic baggie or sock for safe storage anywhere with other toys or by itself. Just remember to remove the batteries before storage. It collects some fuzz and hair, so a quick rinse or wipe with a toy wipe before use is recommended.

To keep this toy clean, you will only need warm water and soap. It can also be cleaned with toy wipes or your favorite toy cleaner. When you need to sanitize your Lil Helper, just soak it in a diluted bleach solution made of 10 parts water to 1 part bleach. Since it’s completely waterproof, soaking it to clean it is perfectly fine.

Only water-based lubricants should be used with the Lil Helper, but if you have a high-quality hybrid or silicone-based lube you really want to use, just do a small spot test in an inconspicuous area to check for a reaction

The packaging the Lil Helper comes in is very basic. It’s a very flimsy, thin plastic box, with the toy nestled in a plastic tray inside the box.




A brief instruction page comes included, with very confusing directions on battery insertion and nothing else.




The packaging is discreet in that there are not nude models on it, but you can clearly see the toy through the front. It is not suitable for storage, because the plastic is way too flimsy.

While I am fond of my Lil Helper, its lack of power means that it will not be my go-to clitoral vibe. My Je Joue MiMi will remain my go-to toy, since it has more power than this toy. I generally need a clitoral toy with at least 4 vrooms for it to work for me consistently every time, and the Lil Helper only has 3 vrooms.
