Great intro to kegel exercisers

This set is perfect for those looking to get into kegel exercisers for the first time. The smooth silicone and ergonomic shape makes them easy to insert and wear, and the sturdy retrieval cord means you don't have to worry about them getting stuck in your pussy. The variable weights allows you to experiment and discover how much grip your vagina really has. Overall a great product.

Use

These little weighted silicone kegel eggs are inserted into the vagina and then squeezed and held in place, as a means of toning and strengthening one's pelvic muscles. The range of weights makes it great for beginners to kegel training like myself, because you can start with the lighter weight and work your way up to the heavier ones. They also have retrieval cords, so you don't have to worry about the eggs getting stuck in your vagina. With their unique shape (which makes them very easy to insert), silky-smooth silicone, and fun, bright colours, I think this training set would be a great product for virtually any female-bodied person looking to start using weighted kegel exercisers.

Material / Texture

These kegel eggs are covered in 100% smooth, silky, body-safe silicone. The silicone has a high-quality feel and produces very little drag when you run your finger across it. The eggs themselves are very hard and solid, and have no give to them if you squeeze them (which is par for the course for this type of product). The retrieval cord is also made from silicone, and while it is rather stretchy, it feels quite strong and sturdy. It doesn't feel like it's likely to snap any time soon. The retrieval cord ends in a small teardrop-shaped silicone bulb, which makes the cord very easy to locate with your fingers when you're ready to pull on the cord to remove the egg. This flexible cord is very comfortable while the egg is inserted, and I'm able to walk around and do housework with an egg inside me, and I don't feel the cord or the bulb. The material just feels wonderful all the way around, and makes this product easy and comfortable to use.

Design / Shape / Size

I really like the shape and overall design of these eggs. They're narrower at the top, like an egg, but they have this sort of ergonomic shape that's a little different from a traditional egg shape. I find them extremely comfortable to insert (with a drop of water-based lube, of course) and wear, though admittedly I don't have anything to compare them to in terms of kegel exercisers, so I couldn't say if they're more comfortable than a more traditional ball or egg shape.

In terms of size, each egg is roughly 2 1/4" long, with a 4" circumference at the widest point. All three eggs are the same size, but have different weights. The lightest (the yellow one) is 1.5oz, the middle weight (the sort of pinkish watermelon-coloured one) is 2oz, and the heaviest (the orange one) is 2.8oz. The bright colours are fun, and they make it easy to keep track of the different weights of the eggs. The lightest-coloured one (the yellow one) is the lightest weight, and the darkest/brightest colour (the orange one) is the heaviest.

Someone who knows about kegel exercisers would probably be able to identify what they were if you left them lying around, but I doubt anyone else would know what they were. That, combined with their modest size, would make them perfectly travel-friendly, in my opinion.

Here they are with a standard Bic lighter for scale:

Performance

These kegel eggs perform as advertised. Their soft, smooth texture makes them easy and comfortable to insert with a little lube, and the retrieval cord means that you don't have to worry about them getting stuck in your vagina. To remove them, you simply bear down a little and give the cord a tug, and they pop right out (it's very similar to removing a tampon or menstrual cup). The multiple weights allows you to start out easy and work your way up to something heavier, which is great if you've never used kegel weights before and aren't sure how much of a chellenge you need. You can experiment with the different weights and find what works best for you.

The eggs are very comfortable to wear. When I have one inserted, I can feel it a little when I squeeze my muscles around it, but I can't feel it at all when I'm relaxed (it sits in roughly the same place in your vagina as a tampon or menstrual cup, except they're obviously heavier).

Care and Maintenance

Since these eggs are silicone, they're very easy to care for and should last you a very long time with proper care and cleaning. You can wash them with soap and water, toy cleaner, or a 10% bleach solution. Since they have no mechanical parts, you can also boil them or put them in the top rack of your dishwasher (without detergent).

The only thing you have to be aware of with silicone products is to keep them away from other silicone. Avoid using them with silicone-based lube (stick to water-based), and just to be safe, it's advisable to keep them from coming into prolonged contact with other silicone toys and products (though they're fine coming into contact with each other, I store all three in the same ziplock baggie).

Packaging

Unfortunately, I forgot to take pictures of the packaging before I recycled it, but these eggs came in a very nice package. It was an orange cardboard box with a clear plactic window that allows you to see the product. It contains some very basic information about the eggs (like the weight of each egg) and suggested use (basically amounted to "lube it up, stick it in, and squeeze it," very short and to the point, haha). When you open the box, the eggs are nestled inside a molded plastic insert.

The package clearly says "KEGEL EXERCISERS" in big letters on more than one side of the box, and the clear window on the box allows you to clearly see the product before opening it up, so I wouldn't say the packaging is terribly discreet. However, it doesn't have any pictures of naked porn stars or anything like that on it. It's pretty classy-looking, actually, but if you live with nosey kids or housemates and you don't want them to know you're doing pussy workouts, you might want to collapse the box and conceal it inside another box or something (like Eden's plain brown shipping box) before tossing it in the recyling bin.

I suppose you could use the box for storage. It's fairly sturdy and you can open and close it somewhat easily without destoying it, but it's way too bulky for me personally to use as storage. I just store the eggs in a ziplock baggie and then toss them in the black filing box that serves as my toy box (though it's getting pretty full, I think I'm going to need to upgrade to something bigger soon).

Personal comments

This is a great set for anyone who is interested in trying out kegel exercisers for the first time. They're made from quality material and allow you to experiement and give you an idea of how strong your pelvic muscles really are. They also give you the option to use different weights in different situations (for example, you might wear a heavier, more challenging one at home, and a lighter one when you leave the house, to avoid awkward mishaps). However, if you're more experienced with using kegel exercisers (and perhaps even if you're not), the lighter weights probably won't provide much of a chellenge.

Experience

I've enjoyed using these eggs. I was somewhat surprised to find that the lightest weight really didn't provide much challenge at all. I found that I could easily walk around and kind of forget about it without it slipping out. The middle weight provided slightly more of a challenge. I had to be a little more conscious about lightly keeping my muscles tight while walking around to keep it from slipping out, but it wasn't at all a struggle to keep it in, even when doing housework. The heaviest egg is really the only one that is challenging for me to hold in my vagina. And while I do have to be much more conscious about holding it in, I can still manage to hold onto it while walking around and doing things like cooking and washing dishes. Turns out my pelvic muscles are stronger than I thought, haha. I was worried that I'd struggle with the lightest egg, just because I've never used pussy weights before, but it turns out my vajayjay has got some grip after all.

I haven't yet tried wearing one while out of the house. It just seems like it would be super awkward if it fell out while I was at the grocery store or something. But I think I'd probably feel comfortable leaving the house with the lightest or middle weight inserted.
Follow-up commentary
I still love this kegel set! These days I mostly only use the heaviest weight, because the lighter ones don't provide much of a challenge at all, but now that I've tried a couple of different types of kegel exercisers, I've come to realize that the shape and overall design of these eggs are really stellar. They're easier and more comfortable to insert than some other shapes I've tried, and the retrieval cords are the perfect length and design. I definitely recommend this set to anyone interested in trying out kegel exercisers for the first time!
