As most women know, after you have a child things “down south” are not quite the same anymore. Kegel exercises are a great way to get your vaginal muscles back to normal again. Because of this, I was very excited to try the Ophoria K-balls #10 ribbed by Lover's Choice Inc.

When the package came in the mail, I first noticed the box and design. It was a baby blue color with a white swirly design. It was a very feminine and relaxing design. The product design was very intriguing to me as well. It is tapered at the ends, making it easier to insert and remove. Each ball is ribbed to add some extra stimulation. There is also a coated string to help with removal which is great since otherwise I would be terrified that they would get stuck inside me.

So I open up the box and wash the K-balls with warm water and antibacterial soap and let them air dry. Fuzz can stick to the silicone so air drying works best. Washed and dried, I inserted the K-balls fairly easily. You can also use a water based lube if necessary to make insertion even easier. Once I had them in, I went on with my daily routine. After a few minutes I didn’t even notice they were there. After an hour, however, I started to get uncomfortable. They were exactly painful, but they definitely did not feel pleasant. I removed them immediately, washed, dried, and put them away. Then I did a little research on the Ophoria K-balls (something I should have done to begin with). I found that unlike some other types of kegel exercisers, the Ophoria K-balls are only supposed to be worn for a short time (15-20 minutes). Some other types you can comfortably wear for a few hours.

Well after my blunder, I left them alone for a few days before I tried again. When I used the K-balls again, my experience was much more pleasant. The ribs are kind of nice. They add a little extra stimulation as you are inserting them, but they aren’t really noticeable once they are inside. The weight and the slight vibration add a really nice feeling. Let me pause here and explain the “vibration.” It is not like a battery operated vibrator. There are two weighted balls inside the silicone casing with a bit of open space so the weighted balls can move around some. If you hold the K-balls in your hand and shake them you can feel the weighted balls moving around inside the casing and creating a slight vibrating. When you have the K-balls in and you squeeze your Kegel muscles against them you can feel the same sensation. Very nice!!
