Is That A Remote Control?

This clitoral vibrator looks really neat and offers a wide range of vibration options, but while the vibrations are strong in the hand, they aren't quite pinpoint enough to do much for the average clit.

Use

The bsoft, from bswish, is a neat, futuristic looking personal massager. If you don't need much for lubrication during a massage, use this on your shoulders or back. Otherwise, try it out for stimulating your nipples, or your partner's. Use it to tease almost any other erogenous zone, or just for your clitoris and labia.

Material / Texture

Bsoft is made of plastic, which makes it nonporous and phthalates free. Its smooth texture won't add much for extra stimulation, but if you're using it for massages, you probably won't want anything that can take away from the gliding capabilities. And for clitoral toys made of hard plastic, texture can end up being very overwhelming.

The texture is great for beginners and seasoned toy users who know they like smooth, hard surfaces.

There was no odor out of the box, and hasn't had one yet. And I haven't been able to taste anything other than plastic.
    • Not porous at all

Design / Shape / Size

The design of bsoft is really cool. It looks like a futuristic remote control. It fits easily into the palm of your hand, whether you're holding it from the top or the bottom. The controls can be easily manipulated with one finger and without having to stop what you're doing.

Total length is about 6" and is about 1 1/2" deep. It has the basic silhouette of something resembling a papaya on the top where it flares out in an oval with a slight curve to it. From the edges on the side it goes down towards the bottom to a point that runs about 5" of the toy and then flattens out at the tip. Think one of the Enterprises from Star Trek.

Opposite the flattened end is the charger port. It's covered by a small gray rubber piece that is supposed to lock into place, but never seems to.

Its relatively small size and sweet storage pouch make bsoft relatively easy to tuck away in a drawer or a bag. It might be too big for smaller purses, but it is small enough to travel well.

Functions / Performance / Controls

Before you can start using bsoft, you first have to charge its lithium battery. To do this, first plug the charger into an outlet, and then plug the insert into the toy. The side of the box says that charging time takes about 4 hours. The instructions say to not leave this plugged in for more than 24 hours. For longevity, the box says that it should last about 50 minutes on high power, and has a 7 day standby. After about 20, 25 minutes on high, the battery starts to get really warm. Not hot, but enough that I would turn it off and let it cool down. After being run on high for a straight 50 minutes (even after being used a few times), it was still going just fine. I wouldn't recommend leaving it on that long as the battery does get really warm.

Bsoft has controls that are super easy to use and figure out. Across the top, there's a power button that will turn the vibrations on and off, a + button and a - button. + increases the vibrations and cycles you through the varied pulsing settings, and - takes you back down to the lowest setting.

There are 7 settings of vibration, 3 steady vibrations, and 4 pulsing settings. On its lowest setting, you can get away with keeping it under the covers, but on its highest, make sure you turn up your noise blocking medium of choice. The strength of the vibrations on its highest setting are enough to be felt on the back through two pillows, not enough to really do anything but tickle, but still felt. Holding in your hand is enough to make it go numb in a relatively short period of time, but for clitoral stimulation the vibrations could be much stronger. The 4 pulsating settings start with a gradual escalation starting from low and going to high, the second setting is an on/off buzz, the third is a faster on/off buzz, and the fourth is a beat of sorts, 3 quick highs and a long one.

It's hard to tell where the vibrations themselves are located, as they do travel very nicely and evenly throughout the entire base of the toy. Unfortunately, even though they can be felt very easily throughout the toy by hand, even on the highest setting, the vibrations might not be enough for some women. They are of the high pitched, whiny variety and, unfortunately, being in a hollow plastic case makes it very easy for it to get those random loud bursts, in addition to already being fairly loud.

Bsoft is splashproof at best. The only place any moisture can get into is the charging port, and since the cover on that refuses to stay closed, it can be really really easy to accidentally get liquids in there that you don't want. Take extra care while cleaning to avoid getting liquids in the charging port.

Care and Maintenance

Care and maintenance is fairly easy, so long as you make sure to avoid the charging port. If you feel you need lube, feel free to use anything body safe, since this is made of plastic.

The instruction manual states that to preserve the material, you should never use massage oil or hand cream as lubricants, or cleansers containing alcohol, petrol, or acetone. You should always clean your massager after use by using a non-alcohol based antibacterial personal cleaning towel/pad, or a damp towel with antibacterial soap. Personally, I've just been using my toy cleaner spray, since the toy can't be inserted, and doesn't get tremendously dirty.

Storage is pretty easy; just pop bsoft right into the little black pouch that bswish has included with their packaging. It's super soft, and feels a lot like a thick T-shirt. After that, just keep it where you keep the rest of your slightly more delicate toys.
    • Easy to clean
    • Easy to store

Packaging

The box it comes in is nice enough to give as a gift. It doesn't scream "I contain a sex toy" although if you look closely at it, you can tell that it houses a vibrator.

There's a purple banner that spans a few inches and goes all the way around the box, which is otherwise black. All the writing is on the purple portion. The front has a picture of a woman wearing an off the shoulder shirt leaning on some carpet, and tells you you have the bsoft. It says "sensual and sweet, the delicate touch of this 7 speed rechargeable massager is all it takes."

The right side of the box has a picture of the bsoft with dimensions. The left side lists the product specifications in 6 different languages, and the back, also in 6 languages, says that "b swish brings out the softer side with this rounded massager. Designed to the shape of your body, the bsoft will titillate your most sensitive spots. Be pleasantly surprised."

When you open the box, you pull out a little tray that contains the bsoft, its charger, and an instruction pamphlet that tells you how to charge, how to use, how to clean, and gives you the disclaimers, in the same 6 languages shown on the back of the box. If you remove the plastic tray from the cardboard tray that pulls out, you'll find the lovely cloth pouch that bswish has provided you for storage.
    • Very informative
    • Would make a nice gift

Experience

Wow, this thing gets really loud. Unless there's some sort of direct pressure on it, it rattles, and really loudly. It looks so cool, and so promising, but for me, its only real redeeming quality is the fact that it's rechargeable. It's gotten me off, but I've always had to really work at it. When left on for extended periods of time, it really starts to rattle, which is not good if you're trying to use it with people home. If the sound of the vibrations didn't give you away, the volume of the TV will.

But as I sit here and stare at it, I can't bring myself to really, truly dislike it. It just looks so cool. It's rechargable, it lasts over an hour. But it's so loud, and so rattly, and the darn cover on the charger port just won't stay shut. Even my mechanic fiance who can normally fix everything couldn't get this thing to stay shut.

I just can't bring myself to really recommend this one to anybody. It's got a lot of potential, but it just doesn't live up to the hype.
Follow-up commentary
It just never really did anything for me. Interestingly enough, I've only charged it the one time, and I ran it for well over an hour on high before I wrote the review, used it once or twice since the review, and let it sit in its little baggy for months and months and months and it still not only had a charge, but didn't feel weakened.

Since I had no real use for it, I passed it on to a friend for use in massages, making sure to warn him about the finicky charging port that doesn't keep liquids out.

Thank you for the review. It looked so interesting, it's a shame a toy that should stimulate the clit just doesn't quite do the job.
