Kame Hame—

Kama is a lovely pressure-wave toy combined vibrator. It's travel-friendly and easy to use. It's reminiscent of the Satisfyer/Womanizer line in that its pressure-waves are on the shallower/tappier side. The vibrations are more rumbly than buzzy; pleasant, but not powerful enough to make me climax.

First impression

Kama arrived in an unmarked gray-white baggy along with another toy. Honestly, I've never seen packaging like this before. It came sealed in a bag that made it look like instead of a sex toy, I'd find... some kind of snack.

Initially, the listing showed a green-blue toy, so when I opened it and saw a pale orange, I was mildly surprised. But no matter. It was still a color you don't see often in the sex toy world, so I was pleased. Below, you'll find the contents of that 'snack bag'. I've provided my Rubik's Cube to give you a better idea of the size we're dealing with here.

Kama is made of very smooth silicone, has a light silicone scent (negligible after the first 2-3 uses). The fact that it comes with a storage pouch made me very happy, as we don't get that luxury noawadays.

First Use

First time I used Kama was hellishly early in the morning - far too early to be masturbating. But I couldn't sleep. I started off with the vibrator half, pressing it against my vulva, running it over my clit. The vibrations were pleasant - definitely much closer to the rumbly side rather than to the buzzy side. I like that most of Eden's products lately seem to be rumbly. Buzzy ones just make me go numb and I simply... refuse to use them after the fact. But Kama's vibrations are pleasant. After frustrating myself enough, I turned off the vibrations (long press on the vibration button) and swapped it over to the clitoral section side. I was already wet from all the vibrating, so I didn't bother with lube.

Kama's pressure-waves are quite shallow. They feel more tappy than thuddy. This is reminiscent of how the Air Touch, Womanizer Premium 2, Satisfyer Pro 3, Satisfyer Prêt-à-porter, Satisfyer Pro 2, and We-Vibe Melt feel.

Kama is NOT similar to my beloved LELO line or to the rose toys Eden sells. Those toys are more thuddy, and the pressure-waves travel deeper. Much deeper. If you have a more sensitive clit, Kama, the Satisfyer line, and perhaps by extension, Womanizer, are likely the better option for you.

Now, did I cum the first time around when I used Kama? No. But I was a frustrated, sopping, wet mess by the time I gave up. I think I didn't manage to finish only because I tried masturbating at an unholy hour while exhausted.

Further Experience

My further experiences with Kama were better, averaging on taking about 10-15 minutes to getting an orgasm pulled out of me. I tend to mostly use the pressure-wave portion of the toy, not the vibrating portion. Though... sometimes, the craving does break through and I allow it.

I realized that while using Kama, the pressure-wave portion stutters a little if I press it too hard to my skin. This is similar to what happens with the We-Vibe Melt and Womanizer Premium 2. The problem is... the closer I got to orgasm, the more I wanted to press Kama against my clit, but doing so weakened the pressure-waves, so I had to consciously relent on the pressure I was applying. I find that the buttons are a little difficult to locate when I have Kama nestled between my thighs, and almost-impossible to distinguish unless I actually look at them. This results in me accidentally swapping the modes of the pressure-waves, or randomly turning the vibrating portion on when I'm not trying to. I guess it's good that they light up, but it'd be a lot better if they were raised so that I could feel which one I'd like to press.

Also, Kama gets... hot. Very hot if I use it for a longer period of time. Granted, I'd assume that most people wouldn't use Kama for as long as I do sometimes, but it does happen. Additionally, I think that Kama's shape would allow for it to be used while getting eaten out, possibly even with sex. But I have yet to test that out.

Vibration Map

We've got two different things to feel from Kama: pressure-waves and vibrations. The pressure-waves are more tappy than thuddy, and don't travel too deep. By no means are they weak, they're just a different feeling. The vibrations are closer to the rumbly side of the spectrum than the buzzy.

There are 3 pressure-wave modes (low/med/high) and 6 vibration modes (low/med/high/x3 patterns). To turn the toy on, you need to hold the pressure-wave button (power symbol) down, then press it again to turn them on low. Then, they cycle through the 3 modes. I was hoping you could turn the pressure waves off on the 4th press and go into standby, but it just goes back to low. If you want the vibrations, you just need to press the vibration button. You can turn the vibrations off and go into standby by long-pressing the corresponding button. You can turn the toy off at any time by holding the power button. Below is a photo of Kama charging - I hope you'll be able to see them clearly.

It is possible to have both vibrations and pressure-waves active simultaneously. Perhaps that would be good for partner play? When the vibrations are turned on, they do travel through the entire toy, and they have the potential to numb one's hand if you're doing an extended play session. It's typically worse with buzzy toys.
  • Very mild, low level vibration
  • Moderate vibration
  • Strong and easily felt vibration

Orgasm Intensity

Orgasm intensity with Kama was about average for me. It happened relatively quickly as well. I've only managed to achieve orgasm by using the pressure-wave side of the toy. The vibrations are a little too weak for me, but they're a fantastic warm-up.
