The Deep Lick is a tongue-shaped vibrator and just that. It does not move like an actual tongue would, but the shape, size and texture gives it a similar feel when combined with manual movement of it on your nether regions. One may think that the Deep Lick would only be useful as a clitoral stimulant, but this little baby can also be used for shallow penetration or to stimulate the labia, vaginal entrance or externally on the anus. It could also be a great tool to stimulate man's perineum during oral sex. I would even go as far as to use this on the nipples, if you enjoy vibration in that area. The battery pack makes this toy unsuitable for the bathtub or shower. This could be used solo as well as by a couple and would make a great gift at a bachelorette party.

The Deep Lick is made of TPR. It is less porous than cyberskin, but more porous than silicone. This makes it unsafe to share without a condom as it can not be sterilized. The texture is very soft and it is slightly flexible. I would not go as far as to say it feels exactly like a real tongue, as it is not as textured. In fact, it is quite smooth. If you use it before you are aroused enough or without lube, it does drag a bit on the skin. Overall, I enjoy the feel of it and it has no smell taste or odor.

The size and shape of this toy is very similar to an actual tongue. It measures about four inches in length, three inches being insertable with a one inch base. The battery pack is about three and a quarter inches long and just wide enough for two AA batteries. The cord is about twenty inches in length, allowing you to easily control the dial with one hand while using the other to hold the toy.

It is very comfortable to hold and fits well in your hand. It is small enough to make it easily portable and a great size for beginners. Though it was likely made more for clitoral stimulation it is also great for teasing your entrance, either vaginal or anal, or for shallow vaginal penetration.

Originally I thought that this would provide a flicking motion as a real tongue would, but it does not. For me that was the one and only drawback I experienced. The vibrations were surprisingly strong and can be felt all throughout the toy (though they are strongest at the base of the tongue). It has a dial for multi-speed function, but there is not a very noticeable difference in vibration level from the lowest to highest setting. In order to change the speed there is a dial function which does click on and off, making it very easy to use. The dial also allows for the toy to be quickly turned off, which is great as the toy is fairly noisy and could be heard by someone on the other side of a bedroom door. However, I find that the noise is easily drowned out by a fan, television or radio.

Also remember that this toy is not waterproof, so be sure to keep it out of the tub!

It is made of TPR which is porous so you want to wash it before and after each use with warm soap and water. You could also use a diluted bleach solution or isopropyl alcohol to wipe it down. It can't be fully sterilized, so you do not want to share this toy unless you plan to use a condom over it. You can use water-based or silicone based lube on this. I store it in a ziplock bag as it does tend to attract a bit of lint/hair. The batteries are simple to load and remove. They are placed in a tray type box which comes completely out and then clicks in so you know they aren't going anywhere. I actually like to remove the battery tray after every use, just so that if the dial is accidentally bumped the toy can't turn on. Removing the batteries will also prevent corrosion and possible damage to the toy if left unused for a long period of time.

The Deep Lick is packaged in a plastic clam shell that moulds to the shape of the toy. It is clear and not discreet, so if you do intend to give it as a gift or hide it from prying eyes keep this in mind. On the back of the packaging label there are minimal instructions on use and battery installation, but aside from that no further information on care and maintenance is provided. The package could be used as storage for the product since it easily opens and snaps back together.

The size, shape and design of this toy are its best features. I find that the very tip of the tongue provides the best and most realistic sensations. The only downside to this toy for me is that it does not actually provide a flicking motion itself, you have to move it manually in your preferred manner of stimulation. If the manufacturers were to do one thing to improve upon this toy, they would make it move mechanically. That would make this the ultimate simulator!

This is my constant go to toy. It provides just the right amount of vibration to get things going, but it is not so strong as to cause you to let go too quickly. It feels great on the clitoris, but I do enjoy inserting this vaginally and squeezing the muscles there around it- feels amazing. Obviously it is not large enough to really thrust it in and out, but if you enjoy your partner teasing your opening with their tongue you will love this toy. To be quite frank I was not expecting too much from this toy, but I was really, very surprised. I was never able to make myself squirt by using a toy and I am not sure if this is just a coincidence as I really experimented a lot with this toy (both on the clitoris and vaginally), but I was able to accomplish what I have only been able to do before with a partner. So, needless to say, I am very pleased with this toy and it is one of my very favorites. This is coming from someone who really enjoys oral stimulation.
