The Deep Lick is a clitoral stimulator. You can rub the vibrating tongue over your labia and clitoris as a teaser, for foreplay and is more suited to those who do not need massive amounts of vibration. It's small and will fit into a purse or suitcase if traveling.
The Deep Lick didn't have an obvious odor however if you do place it under your nose you can detect a plastic smell. The tongue part of the toy is made of TPR and it is a baby pink color, and very soft and velvety to touch, with lubricant it becomes very slippery. It is slightly curved around and tapered at the tip of the tongue, there are no obvious bumps or lumps, the end part of it has a base which is easy to hold onto when playing with the toy and the end has a slight opening where there is a bullet inside attached to a cord that plugs into the control pack. The control pack is a bright pink and is a hard plastic with a dial on the top right of the pack. the texture of the tongue is smooth and glides well on skin, especially if you are a little wet.
The tongue itself is 3 1/2" insertable and the whole toy itself measures about 4". It doesn't really resemble a tongue, if anything it kind of looks like a swollen, bloated tongue, the width of the tongue tapers to a rounded tip and the width reaches about 1 1/2" at it's widest point. The actual bullet housed inside doesn't sit right up to the tip of the tongue so the last inch is just the TPR material. I would absolutely put this toy in the beginners category as there is just not much to it.
The vibrations are not over the top, there is a dial on the top of the control pack that is very easy to use, to turn it on just turn the dial to the desired level of vibration, from very light to medium intensity as far as most vibrators go, clockwise to turn it right up and anti clockwise to turn it down then off again. It is noisy and not something you could use discretely if someone else was present and you wanted to be "secret squirrel" about it.
It's not waterproof at all so no going in the shower with it or getting it anywhere near water. The battery pack is housed in the bottom of the control pack and to open you push in the base and the battery compartment pops out, you do have to push quite hard for it to pop out. It takes two AA batteries and it does drain battery power. it works with normal batteries or rechargeables.
It has a straight forward vibration and no patterns or pulses.
Repeat. It is not waterproof. If you intend on sharing this toy, use condoms. TPR toys cannot be disinfected with boiling water so to clean use hot soapy water and toy cleaner or mild soap. You can unplug the tongue from the control pack to make easier cleaning.
It does not come with a storage pouch so you will need to use your own or find some way of storing it in amongst your other toys. The packaging will make a temporary storage pack but it's not suitable for long term storage.
You can use this toy with silicone or water based lubricants if needed.
The packaging is a simple plastic casing with a cardboard insert. It's not discreet with a tacky big picture of a tongue on the front and the words "Deep Lick" on the front. It comes with a small sheet of instructions for battery insertion which is also on the back of the card insert. Apart from that there are no instructions on caring for your toy. The plastic casing is not recyclable either.
It does tease and tickle but apart from that I wasn't impressed at all. I also tried inserting it and found it wasn't really doing much as far as vibrations go and it didn't tickle my g-spot either. The very tip of the tongue does not have a lot of vibration going on and isn't really a toy I would use for inserting. It is more suited for teasing your clitoris in a very boring way. Personally I just found this toy tacky and more suited for a hen's night party gift. Would I recommend it? No.
Follow-up commentaryI still don't like it4 months after original review
This hasn't come out of my toy box again. It's just not fun, the vibrations don't do anything for me; the toy itself is a dud in my opinion.
