My little hungry love gremlin

The Cupid's Love Wand is an inexpensive way to try out pulsations in some very interesting patterns. However, you do get what you pay for. I don't feel that this vibe has a lot of staying power, it's possible that mine is partially defective, as I've read reviews that didn't seem to have the same experience as I did with regards to the noise level. I gave the toy three stars because the vibrations are powerful and interesting and the loudness of mine might not be the norm for the love wand.

extremely useful review
The Cupid's Love Wand and I have a very love/hate relationship. Or rather I guess I should say a Like/Frustration relationship. I do truly like the love wand, but it frustrates me to no end! I had a hard time thinking of how to review this toy because I'm still actually unsure if mine is normal or if it's maybe partially defective.

The first reason why I thought it was defective was that when I used it the pulsations would cause the toy to shut off. They'd just shut off. Mid-use, they'd be done. I was going to return it but then I figured out it was just the batteries. The batteries cannot be left in this toy between uses. Even if those uses are only hours apart. It will eat them and it will eat them fast. It's like a hungry little gremlin. So, as long as I use new batteries, and good batteries (this little gremlin doesn't like cheap batteries…it feels it's too good for those) it works fine. Still, it eats them quickly so I find myself not wanting to use the love wand that often since batteries are expensive!

Second, my little love gremlin as I so lovingly named my vibe is very loud. It growls and snarls and sounds like a lawn mower in my bedroom. Another review says it's surprisingly quiet so again, maybe a defect? I don't know. It's not so distracting when it's actually in use, but still...not quiet in any stretch of the imagination. The love wand does have 10 functions. Mine do not match the order that is shown on the box, but it does have them. They are:

1. High Vibrating
2. Medium Vibrating
3. Low Vibrating
4. Step
5. Hi-Lo
6. Dip
7. High Pulse
8. Steeplechase
9. Low Steeplechase
10. Low pulsating (this one I don't have...mine is a steady low)

The vibrations are powerful and the patterns are interesting. So, at least the sound is somewhat warranted because of the high power. I also like that the Love Wand can be used in the shower. The shower can't even mask the sound completely but it does a fairly good job of muting it to the point that it's not so obnoxious.

I also like the size of my love gremlin, it's 7 inches long and while it's not overly girthy, it has a nice feel to it. My favorite way of using the love wand is as a basic dildo. For the low price of the love wand I'm just as happy using it this way. I like its smooth texture (although it does feel a bit cheap on the texture...it's a satin finish but it's not the nicest satin finish I've felt, the material is phthalates-free and non toxic, its got a nice weight to it, and when used as a dildo I don't need to worry about the hungry love gremlin eating through my paycheck on batteries.

Well, I originally was going to but then I found it seems to have more to do with batteries then it does the product as it works fine as long as the batteries are fresh. And the noise..well I don't know if it's the normal noise or not. It's not completely out of the norm for a toy to be that loud, it's just not quiet at all. But, the only time the noise is to the point that it's really distracting, to me anyway is when it's on the pulsations..and I really don't use those too often just because they do eat up the batteries so quickly.
