No thanks, Masseur!

At first I was rather impressed with the Masseur, nice vibrations, easy controls and I like the shape. However, once I had to destroy a battery and scratched up the toy to remove the batteries, I was really disappointed. You have to be able to replace the batteries in a product.

Use

This is an external vibrator that is intended to stimulate the clitoris and the opening of your vagina. If you are built "just right" it will massage both of these areas at the same time. I suppose that I am built just right for this toy, or perhaps it is built correctly for me.

Even if your anatomy and the Masseur do not line up, you can still stimulate any one particular place.

Material / Texture

The Masseur is made of hard plastic with silicone covering all but a strip along the middle. I feel like the silicone on this is more for the texture and appeal of silicone, rather than the safety benefits.
    • Not porous at all
    • Smooth

Design / Shape / Size

As I said before shape of the Masseur is supposed to hit the clitoris as well as the opening of the vagina. The size of the Masseur fits in my hand just right. The Masseur is small enough to be easily hidden and stored.

The battery door was a little tricky to close, there is a rubber ring that prevents water from getting into the battery compartment, but it also makes it difficult to close.

My main concern with this toy, is that my batteries became stuck. One of the batteries came out with some shaking, but the other was a different story. I had to use a screwdriver and a pair of pliers to remove it. My battery was ruined, and now I am scared to put more batteries into it.

Functions / Performance / Controls

The Masseur has two buttons on the top. One is an on/off button and the other cycles through the speeds and patterns. The Masseur has three speeds and four patterns. I really like that there is a seperate on/off button, it makes turning it off quickly easy as pie.
    • Easy to use
    • Powerful

Care and Maintenance

The Masseur can be easily cleaned with antibacterial soap and water, or your favorite toy cleaner.

You can use any water-based lubricant with the Masseur, however avoid silicone-based lubes.
    • Easy to clean
    • Easy to store

What kind of batteries did you use with this toy? In my experience, CalEx toys work better with alkaline batteries. I've had rechargeable batteries get stuck in some of my toys before... for some reason they seem thicker?

This looks interesting. I wonder about the batteries too - I have a terrible time using rechargeables in a lot of mine.
    Nice review!

I didn't use rechargeable batteries in the Masseur, just regular ol' Rayovacs
