Use

The Clit Waterproof Delights Clit, which is titled the Waterproof Delights Ultra Thin Powerful Clit Vibe on the front of the package, should be renamed due to false advertising. The nubs towards the base of this vibrator, which are supposed to delight your clit, fall short in their delivery. Some may find the texture of the nubs pleasurable, but depending on your anatomy, it may be difficult for you to touch your clit with the nubs while the toy is inserted vaginally. The vibrations in the nubs are either non-existent or can be felt very little depending on the control setting and toy placement.

The toy is a pretty shade of aqua blue, smooth and unassuming enough to be a decent vibrator for a beginner. The dial base provides one simple way of operating the toy and it has a little added flexibility of use by being waterproof.

Material / Texture

The toy itself is made of jelly, or PVC (Polyvinyl chloride), and the cap is made from ABS (Acrylonitrile butadiene styrene). The toy has an odor when held up to your nose that reminds me of a new air mattress or blow up inner tube. The scent has not gone away on my toy after multiple washes with antibacterial soap.

The shaft and head are quite lifelike with raised veins, corona and frenulum. When used without lubrication, the surface of the toy causes quite a bit of drag against the skin. Once lubrication is applied, the toy glides very easily over the vulva or smoothly in and out of you. If you like texture, you can feel the corona and the veins, until, if you are like me, you start to go numb from the vibrations.

The clit nubs--let's talk about those. They are jelly so they bend and squish with pressure, that is to say they are not immovable, rigid bumps. They do feel somewhat rigid and firm on the clit though. When using this toy in the intended way, by inserting the shaft deep enough so that the nubs rub on your clit, I find the toy to be uncomfortable for my anatomy. In order to get the nubs to touch my clit, I have to move the vibrator at such an angle inside of me that it causes the hard part of the shaft where the motor is to push against my pubic bone. Furthermore, I don't feel any vibrations in the nubs; they only provide a textural sensation. I was able to orgasm this way, but it was a fine line between pleasure and pain where my pubic bone was concerned.

Design / Shape / Size

This is more or less a traditional vibrator that has four rows of protruding jelly nubs at the base for clitoral stimulation. The nubs stick up between 1/8" - 1/4" and form a triangular pattern on the vibrator.

This picture is a side shot of the bottom of the shaft (battery compartment to the left and insertable portion of the toy to the right):

The vibrator is realistically designed to have veins and a circumcised head. The measurements are:

Total length (tip to end of battery cap): 8"
Insertable length (tip to bottom row of clit nubs): 5 1/4"
Circumference around largest part of shaft (where the motor is): 4 1/2"

I'd say this size is about average and could be used by beginners and advanced users alike depending on what qualities they are looking for. The toy is firm except for the inch at the tip above the motor. As you can see in the picture below, this portion is flexible.

Functions / Performance / Controls

I often get the same fortune in my fortune cookies and that is, "there is beauty in simplicity." Sometimes with all of the high-tech toys and their features, I just want something simple and easy to use and the Clit Delight provides that with a dial base to turn up or down the intensity of a consistent vibration. There are no vibration modes, patterns or other settings. To keep this blue beauty going you need two fully charged AA batteries. The vibrations are the strongest where the motor is, which you can see in the product picture where the shaft looks darker, and can be felt at a lower intensity in the tip and base of the toy.

This toy is noisy, the noisiest I own in fact. Some toys I have get quieter, or I should say muffled, when they are inserted. The Clit Delight vibe is the opposite. I think this is due to the pressure put on the shaft where the motor is, causing the noise to increase when it comes in contact with my body, especially when coming into contact with my pubic bone. I used it externally, internally, under the covers and on top of the covers while my husband stood outside our closed bedroom door and he could hear it in all instances. He then tried going into a room that adjoins our bedroom and he could hear the toy in all scenarios that way as well.

I've used this toy once in water and it stayed dry inside. I didn't order it for its waterproof properties, and I'm not sure how often I will end up using it in water. I did make sure the o-ring was in place and not torn and that the battery cap was turned very tightly before using it in the water.

Care and Maintenance

Jelly, or PVC, toys can't be sterilized by boiling or running them through the dishwasher like silicone or glass, for example. This also means they should not be shared, or used anally, unless you use a condom over them to prevent bacterial transmission. You may use warm water and antibacterial soap or toy cleaners to wash this vibrator. The back of the packaging instructs users to wash this toy before and after each use and to remove the batteries when not in use to save the battery life and prevent corrosion. Removing the batteries is especially important after using this toy in water to ensure that water did not get into the battery department and to clean and dry it out thoroughly if water did penetrate the seal.

Under the "warnings" section of the pamphlet included with the toy it states, "store your vibrator on its own and not combined with other products of varying materials as they may cause chemical reactions and produce break down in chemical structures." I've had this happen to me with toys in the past. They melt in the areas of contact and it causes a gooey, unhealthy, discolored mess. Storing this vibrator separately, and wrapped in a soft, lint-free cloth will prevent this chemical melting and help keep lint and hair off your toy.

There is also a warning about excessive use of the toy causing wear on the motor, in turn causing the toy to overheat. If the vibrator seems unusually hot you should stop use immediately. The pamphlet says to let the toy cool down before using again, but if this ever happened to me I would probably dispose of the toy to be on the safe side.

The packaging says to only use water-based lubricants; however, EdenFantasys's website, and other online sources, say that it is safe to use silicone-based lubricants with jelly and PVC toys as well. I have been using a silicone-based lubricant with this toy and have not seen any signs of a chemical breakdown or reaction.

Packaging

The toy comes in a hard, clear plastic container as shown in the pictures. There is information about inserting the batteries, toy materials, cleaning, care and use both on the back of the package and inside the pamphlet. have referenced most of what I consider the important points in other sections of this review.

Personal comments

My husband and I had a cheap jelly vibe that recently died after many happy years of use. It was of average size, had a dial base, and was fairly flexible throughout the shaft. We enjoyed using it during sex and he would also use it on me/leave it in me/lay it between my thighs when I was lying on my stomach and he was giving me a back massage. For whatever reason, this little jelly vibe worked better for these things than the more expensive toys we own. We ordered the Clit Delight to replace this toy and for the most part it has served us well. As with anything, a replacement is never quite the same, but we like the feel of the jelly, the simple dial control, and the increasing strength of the vibrations.

To give you an idea of its size, here is a picture of the Clit Delight next to the Silicone Swirls Exhilirator, a toy similar to the Swirled G and the Softee Vibrating Ballsy Super Cock 6".

Follow-up commentary
I wouldn't exactly say I don't like this toy anymore; I just never really liked it that much to begin with. It can be heard through closed doors when it's cranked up all the way so it's not something I feel comfortable using when other people are in the house. That significantly limits my ability to use this toy. Direct pressure on the area where the motor is increases the noise, so when I'm getting down and dirty with it it's even louder.

Mostly I don't like this toy because its name is misleading. Something with the word "clit" twice in the title should do something for your clit, and this does nothing for mine. All in all it would be a good vibrator for a beginner; something relatively normal sized, fairly realistic, easy to operate and with a slim tip for easy insertion.
