Sparkle vibes - traditional vibrator discontinued by Cal Exotics - review by KinkLove

I bought the pink Sparkle Vibe a year or so ago from a local store and thought it was great for a while. I experimented with this toy and it was loud from the beginning. The Sparkle Vibe would be good for a beginner to use, or a couple on a budget. The price pretty much says it all for this toy and what you should expect from it. It didn't last that long with me and it was very finicky.

The material the Sparkle Vibe was made out of was plain hard plastic, which made for easy cleaning and storage and means there was no foul smell.

I love pink, so that was the best feature to me since i hadn't ever used a toy before (other than the fact that it was cheap and i was on a budget). The size and shape are typical and what you would expect from this type of toy. It would be easy to hide or travel with if necessary.

The vibrations seemed to be closer to the middle then the tip, so I ended up using more of the middle to stimulate than the tip as with other toys I have. Because of the location of the vibes, I didn't find this toy very good for a G-spot stimulator. The controls were pretty easy, as it is just a screw-type twist on the base, which can twist easy while you're using it.

The Sparkle Vibe was pretty noisy. It was just noisy enough that I did not feel comfortable using it alone when my husband was home with me (didn't matter if we were using it together).

I only tried this in the shower once. It says it's not water-proof, so I tried to keep it out of direct shower spray. I opened it up and let the insides air dry if water did get inside and when I went to put it away a couple of hours later, I noticed some rust around the batteries on the toy. Needless to say, I kept it out of the shower from there on out.

Batteries were a warning when I bought this toy from the store. She told me to go to the dollar store and buy cheap batteries, so I did. After having it a few months and using it less than a dozen times, I put some regular Duracell batteries and it fried the motor. I had to toss it. It wasn't my favorite, as I had another one, so I wasn't sad to see it go.

I normally washed with hand soap and let it air dry and that seemed to work. Other than that it is pretty maintanance free, since it's plastic.
